Today we begin the Seven Trumpets of God. Now let’s not get confused on the timing. These trumps are in sequence and only line up with the seals at the fifth trump. Remember that John was taken in the spirit to the Lord’s Day. That would be the seventh trump and he was shown what would happen, before the Day and at the Day and after the Day. The fifth trump and the fifth seal can be figured by the parable of the fig tree. Jesus told us to learn it. Jer.24 lets us know that it would be when Israel becomes a nation again. Never in the history of the world has a nation ceased to be, then became again. 1948 A.D. This happened, and we have been in the fig tree generation since. Let’s begin this study with Jesus in Mark 13 and pick it up with verse 28 and it reads.
Mark 13:28] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
[29] So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
[30] Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
All prophesies shall be fulfilled before Israel passes, meaning the end. With that let’s begin Rev.8 and verse 1 reads.
Rev.8:1] And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
This half an hour shows us that Satan has been cast down to the earth for half of the Hour of Tribulation. Dan.9:27, he comes in the midst of the week. This week represents the seven years of tribulation. In Rev.9 we will find that this has been shortened to five months. (Mark 13:20) So, this half hour has been shortened to 2 and a half months. This is all that Satan has for the sixth trump. But notice we are talking about the seventh seal here.
Rev.8:2] And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
I have heard that these seven angels are Archangels, but I can’t find any proof of that claim. But what I can say that is biblical is there are twenty and four around the throne of God, and they are the twelve patriarchs and the twelve apostles.
Rev.8:3] And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
This is written in Rev.5 and verse 8 reads.
Rev.5:8] And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
Back to Rev.8 and verse 4 reads.
Rev.8:4] And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.
[5] And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
These are the preparations for the trumps. The untimely figs that are shaken. Heb.12:26 and the heavens were shaken also. Going back to Rev.4:5 and it reads.
Rev.4:5] And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
Back to Rev.8 and verse 6 reads.
Rev.8:6] And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
[7] The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
Don’t let this confuse you, God’s word is very simple to understand IF you have read his word. We know after many studies that the LORD compares us to trees often. In Hosea 14:8 he even says “I am a green fir tree”, meaning everlasting life. In the garden he places two trees, the tree of Life, Jesus and the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Satan. That these trees are burnt suggests that one third are spiritually dead. We also know that a third of God’s children followed Satan in the first earth age.
Rev.8:8] And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
Rev.17:15 tells us the waters are the people. Again, the third of the people are spiritually dead. There will be only one, the house of Jacob. Or two great nations in the end times. The house of Judah and the house of Israel. One or both of these nations’ people are spiritually dead. Look around us today, this has already happened.
Rev.8:9] And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
These ships represent commerce, generally speaking of the Kenites and they certainly are spiritually dead.
Rev.8:10] And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
This star is Satan, but we know he comes to earth at the sixth trump. So, what we have here is his Spirit, the spirit of antichrist, Lunatic. Let’s go to Luke 10 and verse 18 reads.
Luke 10:18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
[19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Giving us powers over evil spirits.
Luke 10:20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Back to Rev.8 and verse 11 continues with the third trump.
Rev.8:11] And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
Wormwood means; Bitterness. Wormwood also can be translated in Russian to Chernobyl. Here is where Communism enters the world, they hate God and all Christians. Let’s go to Jer.9 and verse 15 reads.
Jer.9:15] Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.
This word Gall is “poppy juice”, drugs. How many people in this world are hooked on drugs? Back to Rev.8 and we hear the fourth trumpet sound.
Rev.8:12] And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
Stars are always referred to as God’s children. Again, we have a third, darkened by the smoke of the pit. The evil spirit of Satan that will fester the world in these end times. Let’s go to Isa.13 and begin with verse 9 and it reads.
Isa.13:9] Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
This said “The day of the LORD” meaning the end.
Isa.13:10] For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
[11] And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
[12] I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
He will open the eyes of the elect at these end times. The golden wedge stands for purity.
Isa.13:13] Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
All the prophesies of the prophets were prophesied for the end times. 1Cor.10 and verse 11 reads.
1Cor.10:11] Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
We here at The Christ Ministries will always teach with the whole word of God. So, what we learned here at the fourth trump is the third that followed Satan in the first earth age will be here for the end times. Also, God’s children and the elect will be here for a witness against them. Rev.8 and verse 13 reads.
Rev.8:13] And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
These next three trumps are Woe trumps. The fifth trump is the beginning of sorrows. Don’t miss any of these studies, it only gets better. Let’s go to his throne.
