In today’s study we now come to the third heaven and earth age. John was taken to the LORD’s Day, just before and now just after. With that Rev.21 and verse 1 reads.
Rev.21:1] And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
The second earth and heaven age passed away, and there was no more flesh. We are all in spiritual bodies now, see my work in Topical Teachings entitled “Two Bodies”.
Rev.21:2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
After the millennium we have no evil left on earth, all is Holy that comes from God. The Father has already had the marriage for the Lamb, his Son. Let’s go to the beginning of Revelation chapter 1 and verse 1 reads.
Rev.1:1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Jesus chose John to be brought to heaven to see what will happen and write unto his elect these things that must happen.
Rev.1:2] Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
[3] Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
Written to his elect in the end times to read and absorb the Word of God. But, the most important part of that verse was “Prophecy”. Prophecy means Teach. These are our works today, teach the people the truth and bring them out of confusion (Babylon). Back to Rev.21 and verse 3 reads.
Rev.21:3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
I want to go to Eze.16 where the love of God is poured out for all that love him to hear. Verse 8 reads.
Eze.16:8] Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
The Lord weds her, we are at that time of the wedding in Rev.21, but don’t overlook the covenant, this is the blood shed for our sins by his crucifixion on the cross. This marriage is to the Lamb that shed his blood for our sins.
Eze.16:9] Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
Washed our sins away and anointed us with oil, truth. Remember when Jesus was at the well with the Samaritan woman. This is the Living Water that Jesus promised us.
Eze.16:10] I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers’ skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
The fine linen that is the righteousness of the saints. Our works.
Eze.16:11] I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
As gold is tried in the fire, we are made pure.
Eze.16:12] And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
We are given crowns for overcoming, and have that seal of God in our foreheads which is the truth of God’s word. And he decorates our ears to hear, speaking of his elect this whole time.
Eze.16:13] Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
Prosper into the Kingdom of God, which we are reading right now in Revelation. Back to Rev.21 and verse 4 reads.
Rev.21:4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
No more death, sorrow, crying, or pain because all are in spirit and all have overcome. Those who did not overcome are no longer with us, and we won’t cry for them because they were not of God.
Rev.21:5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
God told John to write this for our consumption in these times. All things are made new and the world will go back to the way God created it from the beginning.
Rev.21:6] And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
It is done was the last thing Jesus said from the cross. He is the beginning and the end, meaning the Word of God. Now this fountain of water that was just promised to be given freely to us after the millennium and during the third and last earth and heaven age was talked about by Jesus in the gospel of John. John 4 and verse 5 reads.
John 4:5] Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
The Lord would change Jacob’s name to Israel, and his son Joseph would receive the first fruits, or double blessings from his father Jacob. This is a like for us in the end times who God calls his elect.
John 4:6] Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
About noon.
John 4:7] There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
[8] (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
Jesus asked her for a drink while his disciples went to buy meat. I hope you are seeing with eyes to see that we are talking about the similarities between the meat of God’s word and the water that is called Living Waters.
John 4:9] Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
There are twelve tribes of Israel, but they split when king David’s grandson was king. This “Jews” should have been translated as Judah, one of the twelve.
John 4:10] Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
This woman will have a hard time understanding, but to us it will make sense now.
John 4:11] The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
[12] Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
Much greater than Jacob.
John 4:13] Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
[14] But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Remember we came here from Rev.21:6, God made us a promise.
John 4:15] The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
[16] Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
[17] The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
[18] For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
[19] The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
In her eyes, only a prophet could have known this.
John 4:20] Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
Soon after the twelve tribes separated, the king of the ten tribes made two golden calves, one for this place the other he placed in Dan. Can you see the “Image” we studied in Revelation here.
John 4:21] Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
We can understand now this was written for our admonition in connection with chapter 21 of Revelation.
John 4:22] Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Promised that the Messiah would come from the tribe of Judah.
John 4:23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
[24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
This is why we came here, to receive the truth of God’s word. From the beginning to the end. From Alpha to Omega. Rev.21:6.
John 4:25] The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
[26] Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
And so he did. He has spoken to all of us. Jesus, the Word of God, written for all of us to understand in these end times that his elect will be sent out to teach the Word to all. Back to Rev.21 and verse 7 reads.
Rev.21:7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Just like Joseph was to inherit double blessings from Jacob, God is the inheritance of the elect.
Rev.21:8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Jesus told us about who we should fear in Mat.10, let’s pick it up with verse 27 and it reads.
Mat.10:27] What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
[28] And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
So, all those who were spoken of in verse 8 will not make it to heaven. They are damned to die for eternity. Sorcerers is G5332 in the Strongs’, pharmakeus in the Greek and the definition will surprise you, it is; a druggist (pharmacist) or poisoner that is (by extension) a magician. We get our word Pharmacist from this word. What we have here is a drug pusher today. But through repentance our sins are forgiven, repent from all your sins so they are not in the books.
Rev.21:9] And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.
One of the seven angels that had a vial is going to show John the wife of Jesus.
Rev.21:10] And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
He took John in the spirit unto the holy city Jerusalem.
Rev.21:11] Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
Crystal given here to show purity, this Light is Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.
Rev.21:12] And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
Study Numbers chapter 2 to understand how it was when the twelve tribes of Israel surrounded the Tabernacle of God.
Rev.21:13] On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
We see this in the faces of the four beasts. The lion for the east, which is the tribe of Judah. The eagle for the north which is the tribe of Dan. The man for the south, which is the tribe of Rueben. And the ox for the west, which is for the tribe of Ephriam. Notice all the twelves here? In numerology, we have governmental perfection.
Rev.21:14] And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
The twelve apostles are the foundations of the city. This is why we have the twenty-four thrones that surround the throne of God. Them and the four beasts that protect the mercy seat, which is the throne of the Lamb. I won’t get into the argument of which one makes up the twelve, Judas or Mathias, Judas did repent and was there for Christ through all of his ministries.
Rev.21:15] And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
Last time the measurement was given for the sanctuary, this time it is for the city.
Rev.21:16] And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
Notice it is in the shape of a cube. This cube measures about 1500 miles.
Rev.21:17] And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
Letting us know that the angel was once in the flesh also.
Rev.21:18] And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
Clear glass is purity.
Rev.21:19] And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
[20] The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
Remember the twelve apostles are the foundations. These are also the stones that make up the breastplate of the priest.
Rev.21:21] And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
Here is where we hear that heaven is paved with gold.
Rev.21:22] And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
We learn in Isa.7:14 a virgin shall conceive and you shall call his name Emmanuel. But we get a better definition in Mat.1:23 and it reads.
Mat.1:23] Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
So we see that Jesus is God with us in the flesh. John 1:14 tells us that the word became flesh and dwelt among us. Now we see that God and the Lamb are the temple. Because the two are one, and where ever you have the two the Holy Spirit is there. This is the Trinity. Back to Rev.21 and verse 23 reads.
Rev.21:23] And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Let’s first go to the beginning, Gen.1 and verse 3 reads.
Gen.1:3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
[5] And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Now, let’s go to John 1 and verse 1 reads.
John 1:1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
[5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
[6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
This would be John the Baptist.
John 1:7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
[8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
[9] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
And the Light was that Life from verse 4, that whosoever believeth on him will not perish, but have everlasting Life. John 3:16. Back to Rev.21 and verse 24 reads.
Rev.21:24] And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
These kings of the earth are not the same as the one world order but of the nations. Let’s look at this word nations. G1484 Ethnos in Greek, and is where we get our word ethnicity from. Meaning these are all nations other than Israel.
Rev.21:25] And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
God and the Lamb are the Light thereof. But, notice the gates never shut, it is open to all peoples.
Rev.21:26] And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
Let’s go to Isaiah 60 and hear his prophecy concerning this. Isa.60 and verse 10 reads.
Isa.60:10] And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
[11] Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
All prophecies will come to pass exactly as it is written in God’s word. Back to Rev.21 and verse 27 reads.
Rev.21:27] And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
All is done for the glory of God. Repentance is the most important thing anyone could ever do. Let’s go to 2Pet.3 and verse 9 reads.
2Pet.3:9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Awesome study, let’s go to his throne.
