This chapter is very short and is the preparation for the seven vials, Rev.15 and verse 1 reads.
Rev.15:1] And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
Bringing the vials together to be poured out. This is the cup that Jesus asked God if it were possible not to be poured out, then said but your will Father not mine. Why? Because Jesus knows this is going to hurt, and he is very compassionate, after all he died so that on repentance all may have salvation.
Rev.15:2] And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
Sea of glass is used for purity here, mingled with fire used “For our God is a consuming fire”. Heb.12:29. Those that had gotten the victory are those who went through the sixth trump and were not deceived, but served the Lord and overcame the antichrist.
Rev.15:3] And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
Here is how we get over the antichrist, his image, his mark, and the number of his name. The song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. The song of the Lamb is the Word of God and the song of Moses is Due.32:1-45. I have a study in topical teachings entitled “The Song of Moses” please find time to study it. Those who overcome Satan will sing that song. I think it is a good idea to study that song a few times, let the LORD lead you in your studies. Back to Rev.15 and verse 4 reads.
Rev.15:4] Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
Are made manifest means, they will be made known. This is what Revelation means; to open or make known. All will bow before him.
Rev.15:5] And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
The temple was opened, not the tabernacle. The veil that Christ rent from top to bottom so that all can come to the Lord without a priest between them.
Rev.15:6] And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.
[7] And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
The four Beasts that now protect the mercy seat hold the seven vials up until now.
Rev.15:8] And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
Not until these seven vials are poured out on the people with great wrath can anyone enter the temple. Let’s go to Mat.26 and pick it up with verse 36 and it reads.
Mat.26:36] Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
[37] And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
[38] Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
He is speaking to the watchmen here.
Mat.26:39] And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
This is the cup of wrath that will be poured out, that we are reading in Rev.15. Here he is in the flesh and leaves it up to the Father that it is his will that be done.
Mat.26:40] And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
The hour of temptation should come to mind. Written for you in these end times.
Mat.26:41] Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
[42] He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
The cup will be poured out at the seventh trump, on all that worshipped the antichrist. Remember, those that deceive others will perish with fire, and those that are deceived by them will have the millennium, and will feel the pain of that cup of wrath, it will be a great shame. Let’s go to his throne.
Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
