As with Passover 2025, it is my hope that all heads of households or bishops of your homes read this lesson with their families and partake of the Communion afterwards.

To begin with Pentecost is G4005 in your Strongs’, and means; Fiftieth Day, this is the fiftieth day after Passover. It is the second of three Holy days. It is only called Pentecost after the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. Before that it is called Feast of Weeks, meaning the seven weeks after Passover. To understand more, let’s go to where it is first written of, Exo.23 and picking it up with verse 13 and it reads.

Exo.23:13] And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

We picked it up here because we need to understand as Americans this promise is also given to us.

Exo.23:14] Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.

This is why here at The Christ Ministries we will be giving Communion three times a year. It is a commandment from God.

Exo.23:15] Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

This is the Feast of Passover.

Exo.23:16] And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

Both Feast of Weeks, called feast of harvest here, and Feast of Tabernacles, called feast of ingathering, are mentioned in this verse. Let’s look at this for a moment. At the fiftieth day after Passover the barley was in harvest, these were the first fruits. At the end of the year was the end of harvest for all laborers. They too earned a feast, and the land owner was responsible for giving them a feast.

Exo.23:17] Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.
[18] Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

Covered in Exo.12 on how to give a sacrifice to the LORD. Don’t overlook that we are not to eat leavened bread, today this bread is the body of Christ. (This is why we use unleavened bread, i.e. a soda cracker for his body and the wine for his blood.)

Exo.23:19] The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
[20] Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

This Angel is the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that brings us together spiritually when we partake of Communion.

Exo.23:21] Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
[22] But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
[23] For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
[24] Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
[25] And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
[26] There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
[27] I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
[28] And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
[29] I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
[30] By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
[31] And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
[32] Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
[33] They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.

I let that read out for your sakes, in case you didn’t know that God gave us this land intentionally. He is our God and we are his children. Now let’s get back to Pentecost. Let’s go to Acts 1 and verse 1 reads.

Acts 1:1] The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
[2] Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

Jesus is with them still teaching, but this time his teachings are for them that are Sent, Apostles.

Acts 1:3] To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

Jesus was with his Apostles for forty days after his resurrection. We have a timeline here.

Acts 1:4] And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
[5] For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

He told them not to leave Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came to them.

Acts 1:6] When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Asking if this was it, the end. Not knowing that it was only the first advent, there will be another.

Acts 1:7] And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
[8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Even unto America (the uttermost part of the earth), a long time to go still from this point.

Acts 1:9] And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
[10] And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
[11] Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

The Lord will come as he left, remember this. He left from the Mount of Olives and he will return on the Mount of Olives. Now let’s go to Acts 2 and finish this lesson.

Acts 2:1] And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
[2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

This brings us to the fiftieth day, the day of Pentecost, Feast of Weeks. Now to understand what is about to happen you must know and remember from Exo.23 that all should come to Jerusalem from all over the world that were Israelites. As we will see, some came from far off.

Acts 2:3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

This word “Cloven” is G1266, Deamerizo in the Greek and means; to divide or part out in different languages. Meaning the Holy Spirit spoke and everyone heard it in their own language. It did not say they babbled and needed someone else to interpret for them.

Acts 2:4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Only the Holy Spirit can do this. This is very important for us to understand in these end times.

Acts 2:5] And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

Jews is a bad translation, it should have read Israelites, they have been scattered to all nations before this time. But as we read in Exo.23 they were to keep this day as well as the other two.

Acts 2:6] Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
[7] And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
[8] And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

He will give the names of several countries that these Israelites came from to observe the Feast of Weeks or Pentecost.

Acts 2:9] Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
[10] Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
[11] Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
[12] And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
[13] Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
[14] But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
[15] For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

Peter is saying it’s only 9am. Not lawful for them to drink at this hour.

Acts 2:16] But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

As it was prophesied in Joel chapter 2.

Acts 2:17] And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Peter just said this is for us in these end times, men and women shall prophesy, that means teach. Should Women Teach? Peter just said they would.

Acts 2:18] And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
[19] And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
[20] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Meaning simply that the coming of the Lord is so bright that even the sun is dimmed.

Acts 2:21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
[22] Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

Please catch that, you men of Israel, they were not of the countries that they gave beforehand, they are Israelites and there are twelve tribes of Israel.

Acts 2:23] Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
[24] Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
[25] For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
[26] Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
[27] Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

We find this in Psalms 16, Jesus never saw corruption of his flesh, he was transfigured.

Acts 2:28] Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
[29] Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
[30] Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

This just said that David was a prophet, in Psa.22 David prophesied that Jesus would be crucified. That they would gamble at his feet, that his hands would be pierced and many other prophesies.

Acts 2:31] He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
[32] This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
[33] Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
[34] For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
[35] Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
[36] Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Melchizedek, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Notice he just called them out on who crucified the Lord.

Acts 2:37] Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
[38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Wow, even those who crucified the Lord can receive forgiveness for their sins. Now I want you to think about your sins, yes even we can be forgiven of our sins, simply Repent and receive the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
[40] And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
[41] Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
[42] And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
[43] And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

This word fear is Revere, to Love the LORD, for the Holy Spirit was with them.

Acts 2:44] And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
[45] And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
[46] And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
[47] Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Breaking bread daily, Our Daily Bread, this is why here at The Christ Ministries we strongly suggest that all read his word every day. Bless God and he will bless you, Now, let’s prepare the sacraments for Communion. A soda cracker will do for the unleavened bread. One soda cracker can be broken for up to six people. A small amount of wine, grape juice for the children is ok, keep it of the vine. I hold both in one hand, and place my other hand over them both and speak to the LORD.

Father, bless these sacraments for the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Communion

For Communion we will let our Lord and Savior do the talking. Mat.26:26 and it reads.

Mat.26:26] And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

We take the bread now and eat.

Mat.26:27] And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
[28] For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

We take the cup and we drink.

This is our Communion with the Lord, you may take this Communion whenever you feel. We here at The Christ Ministries will do this three times a year, but whenever you feel you need to, never hesitate, take of the Communion again. Let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
