Today in Matthew 13, we have the Parable of the Sower in verses 1-23. And the Parable of the Tares in verses 24-50. Both of these parables are taught specifically for those of us in these end times. Matthew 13 and verse 1 reads.

Mat.13:1] The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
[2] And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

What has happened is, because many came to him expecting to be taught, Jesus went into a small ship (probably a small fishing boat) and turned to those on the shore to speak to them. This would make the perfect amphitheater for all to be able to hear him.

Mat.13:3] And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

To sow is to broadcast, the seed here is the Word of God. When seed is broadcast you never know where it will fall, Jesus gives us a great explanation that we will understand easily.

Mat.13:4] And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

The wayside is to those that do not want to hear the Word of God. They will be devoured by the wicked of this world.

Mat.13:5] Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
[6] And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

These received the Word of God. But because they had no further teaching of his Word, they only had milk. Meaning only salvation and baptism, they didn’t get the depth of God’s Word. And at the first sign of trouble, having no backbone, they would fall away from God.

Mat.13:7] And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

These thorns are Satan and his children, the wicked in the world.

Mat.13:8] But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Now we have ground to produce a harvest. We know that we are supposed to have good fruit. So, what is good fruit, good fruit comes from us teaching the Word of God to others in this world, it is also called our works.

Mat.13:9] Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Whenever you read ears to hear or eyes to see know that it is written for God’s Elect to know and understand. Do you now understand what was said above, then know you are one of God’s Elect. For God only can open eyes or shut them. Now come the disciples to Jesus, notice they would need a little help understanding what was said.

Mat.13:10] And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
[11] He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

By speaking in parables, the LORD is separating those who can and will know from those whose eyes and ears the LORD has closed. Let’s go to Isaiah 29 and verse 10 reads.

Isa.29:10] For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

Speaking of their false prophets, scribes and pharisees.

Isa.29:11] And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

Don’t let an unlearned pastor tell you today God’s Word is sealed, it is only sealed to those who haven’t received his Word.

Isa.29:12] And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
[13] Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

By the traditions of men and not by the Word of God.

Isa.29:14] Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

The LORD will open eyes and he will shut eyes. Jesus taught us this in Rev.3 and speaking to the church of Philadelphia he says in verse 7 and it reads.

Rev.3:7] And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
[8] I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

The LORD will open the eyes of his Elect in due season. I pray he is opening your eyes and ears right now. Back to Mat.13 and verse 12 reads.

Mat.13:12] For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

This is the seed that fell on good ground, they received his Word and they seek more. The true sign of an Elect. But for those that fell on the wayside, what they heard shall be taken from them.

Mat.13:13] Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
[14] And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
[15] For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Let’s go to Isaiah where this is prophesied, Isaiah 6 and verse 8 reads.

Isa.6:8] Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Isaiah is speaking here and said send me. This is written for God’s Elect in these end times, he continues.

Isa.6:9] And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
[10] Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
[11] Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
[12] And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

This is talking about the great apostacy, at the sixth trump when Satan is here claiming to be Jesus and the whole world is deceived. Now, you know the Spirit of prophecy, 1Cor.10 and verse 11 reads.

1Cor.10:11] Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

His Elect shall see and hear his Word and teach them. Back to Mat.13 and verse 16 reads.

Mat.13:16] But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
[17] For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
[18] Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

Jesus will now explain to his disciples the Parable of the Sower. Listen closely, you’re a disciple of Christ and this is written to you, hear with opened ears the parable.

Mat.13:19] When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
[20] But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

The same is for he that receives the Word of God (among the stony places) as for those who received it by the wayside. But check this word Anon out, it is G2117 euthus pronounced yoo-thoos’ and means; straight forward, upright, true, sincere, straightway, immediately, forthwith. And with that he receives it with joy.

Mat.13:21] Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

At the time of the first beast, the one world order, and especially during the time of the sixth trump (the second beast) he loses his backbone. This will happen during the time of the locust, when their scorpions turn their backbones to mush.

Mat.13:22] He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

The wickedness of his own lust of his worldly desires takes away from him his good works. Satan is that thorn, he will tempt you with all that you desire. Many will fall away, but the LORD will receive those that come back to him. Let’s go to Jeremiah 4 and verse 1 reads.

Jer.4:1] If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.
[2] And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
[3] For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.

Back to Mat.13 and verse 23 reads.

Mat.13:23] But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

God’s Elect will receive eyes to see and ears to hear his Word. Now, understanding his word then teaching others of his word is our good fruits, our works. We now go into the Parable of the Tares, this is why it is so important to understand the first six chapters of Genesis.

Mat.13:24] Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

Let’s look at this word Kingdom, that is the King and his dominion. Earth is God’s dominion. The good seed are the children of God, and the field is this world age.

Mat.13:25] But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

The enemy is Satan, and this happened in the garden. So many people were lied to and told that Eve ate an apple, the truth is that Satan seduced Eve and laid with her. Let’s go to Genesis 3 and verse 13 reads.

Gen.3:13] And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

The serpent is Satan, Rev.12:9. The word beguiled is H5377 in the Hebrew and G1818 in the Greek and both mean; to wholly seduce. And the word eat is to partake of. Now the LORD will speak to both Satan and Eve.

Gen.3:14] And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
[15] And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Between Satan’s seed and the woman’s seed, we have two seeds given here. The Serpent’s seed is not a theory, it is factual and we just read it. Never let an unlearned pastor or teacher of God’s word tell you different. But let’s not overlook what else was said above. It shall bruise your head, and that happens at the sixth trump. But this; And thou shall bruise his heels happened when they crucified Jesus on the cross. This is the first prophecy prophesied in God’s Word. Now the LORD speaks to Eve.

Gen.3:16] Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

The LORD will multiply her conception meaning she will have twins. The first Cain from Satan, the second Abel from Adam.

Gen.3:17] And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Adam also partook of the same “tree” being Satan, that’s right Adam also laid with Satan having a homosexual act. And this is judgment.

Gen.3:18] Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Thorns and thistles sound familiar, let’s go back to Mat.13 and verse 26 reads.

Mat.13:26] But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

This word Tares is G2215 zizanion pronounced dziz-an’-ee-on and means; A black poisonous false grain. Did you catch that, when they brought forth fruit.

Mat.13:27] So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

Let’s look at this word seed, it is G4690 sperma pronounced sper’-mah, yes in English it is sperm. And means; the product of this semen, seed, children, offspring, progeny. We can now see we are talking about offspring or children.

Mat.13:28] He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
[29] But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

This shows how entangled the roots are in this world.

Mat.13:30] Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

This parable is specifically for the end times. We have the seed of the woman, God’s children, and the Serpent’s seed. The Serpent’s seed are the children of Cain, called Kenites which means offspring of Cain. Let me pause here for a moment, we are speaking here to God’s Elect, not any of those who received his word on the wayside or on stony ground and especially in the thorns, but to those who God has opened the eyes and has given understanding to. Let’s go back to Revelation 2 and here what is said to the church of Smyrna, Rev.2 and verse 8 reads.

Rev.2:8] And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
[9] I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
[10] Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
[11] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Our destiny is to be delivered up to Satan when he is here on earth at the sixth trump. We will keep our mouths shut and let the Holy Spirit speak through us, do not premeditate what you will say. Mark 13, Matthew 24 shows us exactly what happens, we will get there soon. Notice that we will not have tribulation for more than ten days. Yes, be faithful unto death, speaking of the flesh. But that the second death, the death of the soul, shall not come upon us, we will be priests for a thousand years with Christ. Back to Mat.13 and verse 31 brings us another parable, and it reads.

Mat.13:31] Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

Again, we have the word kingdom. The King and his dominion. Jesus is KING of kings and LORD of lords. The world is his kingdom, think of this world age is the kingdom of Salvation.

Mat.13:32] Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

A warning to God’s Elect, when you are grown and teach the Word of God, the enemy comes and will roost in your branches. They will try to take away the children of God who listen to your wisdom. We find many of the Kenites preaching from pulpits today, lying and deceiving God’s children to fly away to the first Christ, the antichrist. Now, another parable.

Mat.13:33] Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Another warning to God’s Elect. Leaven is said here for sin, if the wicked get into your church and teach falsely, then the whole congregation becomes corrupt and unfruitful. This woman is “Mystery Babylon”. Until all was full of sin and abominations. Mystery Babylon are the churches today that go whoring after the antichrist thinking he is the true Christ but are deceived.

Mat.13:34] All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
[35] That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

This word foundation is G2602 katabolē pronounced kat-ab-ol-ay’ and comes from G2598 kataballō pronounced kat-ab-al’-lo and means; the overthrow of Satan in the first earth age. When, because of pride and of taking a third of God’s children from him, God over through Satan and this caused the need of Salvation, thus this earth age. But, let’s back up, it said spoken by the prophet. Where is this written, it is written in Psalms 78 and verse 1 reads.

Psa.78:1] Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

Ears to hear, talking to his Elect.

Psa.78:2] I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
[3] Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
[4] We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.
[5] For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:
[6] That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

Who will arise and show to the children of God, we will, his Elect in these end times. This prophet is king David and we see here that Jesus called him a prophet. And we know that he prophesied more than this with Psa.22 the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Back to Matthew 13 and verse 36 reads.

Mat.13:36] Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

Now we go back to the parable of the tares, his disciples did not understand, but written for our sakes Jesus explains.

Mat.13:37] He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

Jesus sowed the good seed, the Son of God, know this means Savior.

Mat.13:38] The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

We have the woman’s seed and we have the serpent’s seed. Don’t overlook the field is the world.

Mat.13:39] The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

The end of this world age, Ion in the Greek and means; a length of time. All said here for the end times in which we are living. Jesus speaks boldly to the Kenites in John 8 and verse 38 reads.

John 8:38] I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

Notice the lowercase f in father for their father and the uppercase F in Father for God.

John 8:39] They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
[40] But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

To kill me is Murder, Cain was the first murderer.

John 8:41] Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
[42] Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
[43] Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
[44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
[45] And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
[46] Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

Who can convict Jesus of sin? is what he asked of them. The answer was no one.

John 8:47] He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

An easy way to know who is of that wicked one, when God’s Word cannot be understood, then they are Kenites. Back to Mat.13 and verse 40 reads.

Mat.13:40] As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

Let’s go to 1Cor.10 and verse 11 reads.

1Cor.10:11] Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

And in Hebrews 9 and verse 26 reads.

Heb.9:26] For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Back to Mat.13 and verse 41 reads.

Mat.13:41] The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
[42] And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Jesus is telling us here how it will be in the end times. Many people overlook Jesus teaches us these things and they focus on love and salvation. Those things are important, but teach the meat of God’s Word and dry the milk from the corners of their mouths for them. The days are growing closer, we are living in these end times and as God’s Elect we must get busy.

Mat.13:43] Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Wake up God’s Elect, are you not watchmen.

Mat.13:44] Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Another parable here, this parable is the Parable of the Treasure of Truth. The truth is God’s Word that is given freely to his Elect. Given to us to teach to the children of God in these end times.

Mat.13:45] Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
[46] Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

The Parable of Seeking Godly works. No reason to sell all you have for God gives it freely to his Elect. But, said here to show how valuable his Word is.

Mat.13:47] Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

The Parable of Gathering His Children Back to Him. His net is wide and gathers all the people, Rev.17:15 the peoples are the waters.

Mat.13:48] Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

He separates his children from the children of that wicked one. Going back to the Parable of the Tares.

Mat.13:49] So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
[50] And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
[51] Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

Remember they separated themselves from the others to explain the parables to his disciples. And his disciples understood.

Mat.13:52] Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

The Parable of the Knowledge of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Meaning the whole Word of God is also his kingdom.

Mat.13:53] And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

Jesus leaves off teaching his disciples the parables and returns to his home country where he was raised up in his youth.

Mat.13:54] And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

Acknowledging his understanding of scripture and his wisdom thereof. But they grew up with him and this will lead to a great lesson for you and me in these end times.

Mat.13:55] Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
[56] And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

They knew his family and could not understand how he was educated in scripture. Now, if they really knew his family, they would know that his uncle Joseph of Arimathea was a Pharisee and a member of the Sanhedrin, the legal system of the temple. But this will show us that those who grow up with us won’t understand how we came to know God’s Word either.

Mat.13:57] And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
[58] And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

A very good chapter for God’s Elect, I pray I helped you understand the simplicity of Jesus’s teachings in this chapter. Let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
