Today’s titles are; Verses 1-13 Jesus teaches about prayer. Verses 14-28 A divided house cannot stand. Verses 29-36 A greater than Jonah is here. Verses 37-54 Jesus denounces the Pharisees and scribes. Luke 11 and verse 1 reads.

Luke 11:1] And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

This is called the Lord’s Prayer by many people, I disagree. If you truly want the Lord’s Prayer, go to John 17:1-26. Here we have Jesus teaching us how to pray, I want you to take away from this that you need only to talk to the Father. The first thing Jesus did after being crucified was to tear the veil in two allowing us to come directly to the Father, without a priest.

Luke 11:2] And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Holy is his name. Kingdom is the KING and his dominion. The Father’s will, Word, be done, finished. Bringing us to the second advent, the seventh trump or the LORD’s Day.

Luke 11:3] Give us day by day our daily bread.

Every day, give us your Word and open our eyes to it. This is why we study every day. It is so important we put it in our Logo here at TheChristMinistries.org. I also did a study in Topical Teachings called Our Daily Bread. This is the hidden manna promised to his Elect in Revelation 2 and verse 17 reads.

Rev.2:17] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

This is so important for God’s Elect because of what is written in Amos 8 and verse 11 reads.

Amos 8:11] Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Back to Luke 11 and verse 4 reads.

Luke 11:4] And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Two given here in one verse, let’s take time for both. First forgive others so that our sins may be forgiven. Jesus gave us a valuable lesson in Matthew 18:23-36, let’s take it from verse 32 and it reads.

Mat.18:32] Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
[33] Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
[34] And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
[35] So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

True it takes repentance, but we must forgive them or our sins will not be forgiven. Let’s go to Ephesians 4 and verse 2 reads.

Eph.4:2] With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Lowliness and meekness, with all humbleness. Longsuffering, with patience. Forbearing one another, forgiving one another. All for the sake of love. Now, let’s take Temptations. God does not tempt anyone, but in this world the Tempter reigns. Let’s go to 1Corinthians 10 and verse 13 reads.

1Cor.10:13] There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

God has promised he will always show us a way out. Now let’s go to 2Peter 2 and verse 9 reads.

2Pet.2:9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

And 2Thessalonians 3 and verse 2 reads.

2Thes.3:2] And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
[3] But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

All are promises from the Father to you. Back to Luke 11, we have another parable, and verse 5 reads.

Luke 11:5] And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

A similar parable can be found in Luke 18:1-6, find time to read. Here we have a man seeking bread, think of it as the Word of God.

Luke 11:6] For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
[7] And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
[8] I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

The man will get up and feed his friend, even if it troubles his family. Jesus will explain the parable now.

Luke 11:9] And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
[10] For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

More promises for us here. Ask and he will answer. Seek and you will find. Knock and he will open your spiritual eyes. Let’s go to James 1 and verse 5 reads.

James 1:5] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
[6] But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

In Proverbs 8 we find those that seek, and verse 17 reads.

Prov.8:17] I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

In Revelation we find a door for his Elect. Rev.3 and verse 7 reads.

Rev.3:7] And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
[8] I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Did you know that Jesus will also knock, skip down to verse 20 and it reads.

Rev.3:20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

This is the opening of the Elect’s eyes to the Word of God. Special promises from God if we search his Word. Back to Luke 11 and verse 11 reads.

Luke 11:11] If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
[12] Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

Let’s look at these examples that Jesus is giving us here. The bread is the body of Christ and has become our sacrament. It is broken for us. Matthew 26 and verse 26 reads.

Mat.26:26] And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

When the child asked for a fish, will you give him a serpent? This represents the serpent’s seed, the Kenites. The scorpions referring to the end times, the locust army. Let’s look at the Fish. Ichthys in Greek and is an acronym representing Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior. Each of the Greek letters stand for a word. I (Iota) for Jesus, X (Chi) for Christ, Θ (Theta) for God, Y (Upsilon) for Son, and Σ (Sigma) for Savior. A fish drawn on a house represented that Christian church is held there. We see here that if a son asks of his father for truth, he wouldn’t lie to him.

Back to Luke 11 and verse 13 reads.

Luke 11:13] If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Remember above, we need to seek him. Another promise from the Father, he will give us the Holy Spirit, and will open our eyes to his Word.

Luke 11:14] And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.

It was the devil that made this man dumb, mute. The people marveled, and said in Mat.9:33 It was never seen in Israel. They never had Emmanuel (God with us) before with them in Israel.

Luke 11:15] But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

Meaning, Jesus was casting out devils because he was Satan. Let’s look at this word Beelzebub. G954 and means; Dung god; Beelzebul a name of Satan, lord of the house. 1. a name of Satan, the prince of evil spirits. I want you to know it is of Chaldee origin. Meaning, those from the captivity to Babylon spoke these words. These are Kenites, and they will be responsible for the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is through jealousy because Jesus could heal and cast out devils and they could not, or would not.

Luke 11:16] And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

Tempting the Lord again, they asked for a sign from heaven. Heaven, Salvation was staring them in the face and they asked for a sign.

Luke 11:17] But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
[18] If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

This shows us these others were also Kenites and with those who accused him of being Beelzebub.

Luke 11:19] And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.
[20] But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Their sons could not cast out devils and will judge them publicly. Notice that Jesus has the finger of God, because he is God with us. John 1:14, Isa.7:14, Mat.1:22-23. Now Jesus will give them another parable.

Luke 11:21] When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
[22] But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
[23] He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

Let’s go to Psalms 68 and verse 35 reads.

Psa.68:35] O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

Terrible should have been translated as Awesome. Now let’s go to Jeremiah 17 and verse 7 reads.

Jer.17:7] Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

Hope is our Savior, Jesus Christ. Notice in verse 22 above that the bad man takes away his armor, the Word of God, from him, he is spoiled. Remember the parable of the Sower? These are the seeds that fell among the thorns. Mat.13:7, these are Satan and his children the Kenites, the wicked of this world. Hold fast to what God has given to you, lest they take your crown. Rev.3:11. Back to Luke 11 and verse 24 reads.

Luke 11:24] When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
[25] And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
[26] Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

This is the warning for his Elect when we cast out devils. Luke 10:19, where he gave us power over all evil spirits. Make sure you fill them with the Word of God. And especially, make sure you cast them out in the name of Jesus Christ.

Luke 11:27] And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

This woman blessed Mother Mary, but Jesus has a simple response.

Luke 11:28] But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Ears to hear, blessed are the Elect.

Luke 11:29] And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

The word Generation here is G1074 genea pronounced ghen-eh-ah’ and means; 1. fathered, birth, nativity. The several ranks of natural descent, the successive members of a genealogy. In other words, we are speaking of the evil genealogy of the Serpent’s Seed, the Kenites. It was they that asked for a sign in verse 16 above. Now, this sign being Jonah (Jonas) is that Jonah was in the belly of a great fish prepared of by God for three days and three nights. The same amount of time that Jesus will be himself in the tomb. Jonah was a “like” for a savior for the people (The Assyrians) who would take the ten northern tribe’s captive.

Luke 11:30] For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

Nineveh repented but these Kenites will not. Let’s go to Jonah 1 and verse 17 reads.

Jonah 1:17] Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

The Kenites, who will call him to be crucified, will have this sign. They will remember Jesus saying this to them without a doubt. Back to Luke 11 and verse 31 reads.

Luke 11:31] The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

This queen of the south is an Arabian. They will rise up with the Kenites, but condemn them because they also will repent. A like for the end times without a doubt, but you can find this in 1Kings 10:1-13 and in 2Chron.9:1. Let’s not overlook that Solomon was considered the wisest.

Luke 11:32] The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

Jonah was a like for the Messiah, Jesus Christ, Savior. And they have the actual Messiah standing before them, the Christ. Now, to show that all is connected by the Word of God, Jesus continues.

Luke 11:33] No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

Given to all in Genesis 1 and verse 3 reads.

Gen.1:3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
[5] And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

This is not the sun, but Jesus Christ as Savior. This second earth age is given for those who accept Him as Savior, as the Son of God and repent of sins. The Light is Day which is Jesus and the Night (uppercase) is Satan, which is the darkness of the world. Back to Luke 11 and verse 34 reads.

Luke 11:34] The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

The LORD gives us spiritual discernment.

Luke 11:35] Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
[36] If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

This is the whole reason for this earth age. Read my study called Three Heaven and Earth Ages, which you can find on our home page or in Topical Teachings. Let’s go to Palms 119 and verse 17 reads.

Psa.119:17] Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.
[18] Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
[19] I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

Back to Luke 11 and verse 37 reads.

Luke 11:37] And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.
[38] And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.

Not that Jesus didn’t wash his hands for cleanliness, but that, as a priest, he didn’t observe the traditions of the elders. To understand this, you must know that these priests would throw a little water over this shoulder, then over the other shoulder and do the Hokie Pokie. Tradition of men that make void the Word of God.

Luke 11:39] And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.

You make yourself appear to be holy by the traditions you do, but are wicked within. Because this Pharisee is of that wicked one, of that serpent seed, a Kenite.

Luke 11:40] Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?

Are we not made in the image of God? But because we had a third of God’s children follow Satan in the first earth age, we must be born of water (of the womb of woman). Let’s go to 1Corinthians 15 and verse 35 reads.

1Cor.15:35] But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

We have two bodies, one is spirit and one is flesh.

1Cor.15:36] Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

Quickened means; to make alive. Our flesh must die before our spirit can go to the Father. Ecclesiastes 12:7.

1Cor.15:37] And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
[38] But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

Two seeds, that of the woman (Eve), and that of the serpent (Satan). Back to Luke 11 and verse 41 reads.

Luke 11:41] But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

Repent and have all sins forgiven, this is the love of our Father through Christ our Savior.

Luke 11:42] But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

They just won’t repent. The reason for Jesus being The Lamb of God. Let’s go to 2Peter 3 and verse 9 reads.

2Pet.3:9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

But these Kenites will not repent. Back to Luke 11 and verse 43 reads.

Luke 11:43] Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

Today they wear long robes and call themselves holy, but there is only One that is Holy. Notice they are in our synagogues, our churches today.

Luke 11:44] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

Their graves will go unkept. People will walk over not knowing there is even a grave underfoot. We are speaking spiritually here, Jesus says they are spiritually dead.

Luke 11:45] Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.

Are you speaking to us also, they asked. These are the scripture lawyers, who keep the people in bonds.

Luke 11:46] And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

Keeping those under law, but they themselves keep not the law. Let’s go to 1Chronicles 2 and verse 55 reads.

1Chron.2:55] And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.

We see here these Kenites are the scribes brought into the house of the LORD for the first time. Back to Luke 11 and verse 47 reads.

Luke 11:47] Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

Here, Jesus straight out calls them Kenites to their faces.

Luke 11:48] Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.
[49] Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:

Let’s go to Proverbs 1 and verse 20 reads.

Prov.1:20] Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:

Back to Luke 11 and verse 50 reads.

Luke 11:50] That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;

The word foundation here is G2602 Katabole from G2598 Kataballo meaning; The overthrow of Satan in the first earth age. And this generation is the wicked descendants of the Serpent’s seed from the garden, the Kenites.

Luke 11:51] From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

We find in Genesis 4:8 how Cain slew Abel, his brother. Kenites are the offspring of Cain whose father was Satan the serpent in the garden who seduced Eve. Now, Zechariah we find in 2Chronicles 24 and verse 20 reads.

2Chron.24:20] And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
[21] And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of the LORD.

These also were Kenites that killed Zechariah. They not only killed all the prophets in the Old Testament, but also John the Baptist and soon Jesus and his disciples. Back to Luke 11 and verse 52 reads.

Luke 11:52] Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

They have not only rejected the Word of God, but prevented others from learning the Word. This was the job of the Pharisees and scribes, to teach the Word to the children of the LORD. See how this pertains to today? Look at our churches, they do not teach the congregation any of the Truth. But do lie and teach them to fly away, or to rapture. A very evil and wicked generation for the first advent will be for the second advent as well. 1Corinthians 10 and verse 11 reads.

1Cor.10:11] Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Back to Luke 11 and verse 53 reads.

Luke 11:53] And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:
[54] Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

Finding a way to trap him, notice they wait for something out of his mouth. Beware, in these end times it will be something you say that will be used against you. Freedom of speech will be lost. Let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
