ISAIAH 64

A Prayer For Help is the title for today’s lesson. Isaiah 64 and verse 1 reads.

Isa.64:1] Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,

A prayer to the Father to shake it up and come down. Asking for the seventh trump to sound. Let’s go to Psalms 18 and verse 7 reads.

Psa.18:7] Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
[8] There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
[9] He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.

Also prophesied in Micah 1 and verse 3 reads.

Mic.1:3] For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.
[4] And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

The second advent will be a glorious day for God’s children, not so much for those that are wicked. Back to Isa.64 and verse 2 reads.

Isa.64:2] As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!

All knees will bow at the seventh trump. For our God is a consuming fire. Heb.12:29.

Isa.64:3] When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.

Speaking here of the first earth age, overflowed with water, this second will be by fire. In Jer.4 we learn that Satan caused the Katabole, the overthrow of Satan, and the earth overflowed with water. Bringing the end of the first earth age, and causing the LORD to create this second earth age (Ion, a length of time) for Salvation. The second advent, the seventh trump, brings on the second LORD’s Day, the millennium. Afterwards, the third earth and heaven age, life everlasting, eternity without any of the wicked.

Isa.64:4] For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

We will wait for the True Christ and not be deceived by the antichrist at the sixth trump. Let’s go to 1Cor.2 and verse 7 reads.

1Cor.2:7] But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

The LORD opens the eyes of his Elect.

1Cor.2:8] Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

They would not have crucified Jesus to take away his Glory. Not that they would have believed. Now, why we came here.

1Cor.2:9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

The third heaven and earth age will be without any of the wicked, truly a paradise that we cannot imagine. Back to Isa.64 and verse 5 reads.

Isa.64:5] Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

The Glory of Christ our Savior has fulfilled the Will of God. We are all sinners and the LORD knew this was going to happen thus He is Savior. Let’s go to Malachi 3 and verse 5 reads.

Mal.3:5] And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
[6] For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
[7] Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

Come back to him in repentance, be Redeemed and saved by Christ Jesus. Back to Isa.64 and verse 6 reads.

Isa.64:6] But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Our transgression of the laws, our sins, have separated us from the LORD. But thanks be to God that we have Salvation through Jesus’s blood on the cross that on repentance we are forgiven.

Isa.64:7] And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

For those who refuse to repent, are consumed by fire. Let’s go to Hosea 7 and verse 6 reads.

Hos.7:6] For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.
[7] They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.

In these end times many will not call on the LORD, they are not his children, but of that wicked one. Back to Isa.64 and verse 8 reads.

Isa.64:8] But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Here we have his children, we call on him and he does hear. We know him, we are his chosen, his Elect.

Isa.64:9] Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.

When the LORD forgives sins, they are blotted out as if they never happened. Let’s go back to Isa.43 and verse 25 reads.

Isa.43:25] I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

The LORD loves his children, his reason for sacrificing himself on the cross for our sins, for our salvation. Back to Isa.64 and verse 10 reads.

Isa.64:10] Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.

The antichrist is in Jerusalem claiming to be Christ and all the world worships him. This is the sixth trump. Dan.9 and verse 27 reads.

Dan.9:27] And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Here we have the 7 years of tribulation given, divided into two parts. Satan comes in the middle of the week, but the beginning is given to the first beast, the one world order. Jesus would shorten this time in Mark 13 and verse 20 reads.

Mark 13:20] And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

He shortens it to five months as we read in Rev.9 and verse 5 reads.

Rev.9:5] And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

And also, in verse 10 it reads.

Rev.9:10] And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

Now, let’s go to 2Thessalonians 2 and verse 3 reads.

2Thess.2:3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

No rapture, no flying away, but we as God’s Elect will have our gospel armor on and stand when we are delivered up and the Holy Spirit will speak through us. This is our destiny. Back to Isa.64 and verse 11 reads.

Isa.64:11] Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste.

Jerusalem is destroyed by Satan being there. This must happen before the True Christ comes at the seventh trump. Let’s go to Ezekiel 24 and verse 21 reads.

Eze.24:21] Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.
[22] And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.

We will not eat the bread of men, for Jesus is our Daily Bread. This is the Word of God given freely to those who seek him. Back to Isa.64 and verse 12 reads.

Isa.64:12] Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?

The watchmen will not remain silent. They will be on the house tops to give warning to the people. They will say “Woe, the second woe is past and the third comes quickly.” Rev.11:14. Let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
