Today’s study in Isaiah is titled The future glory of Zion. We are being brought from the beginning of the millennium to the end. Today’s study in Isaiah is titled The future glory of Zion. We are being brought from the beginning of the millennium to the end. Isaiah 60 and verse 1 reads.
Isa.60:1] Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
The Light is Christ, the second advent that we have been waiting for has come. We just studied in Isa.58 how that Light will come, but we let it shine through us now for the world to see. Isa.58 and verse 8 reads.
Isa.58:8] Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
[9] Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
[10] And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
Back to Isa.60 and verse 2 reads.
Isa.60:2] For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
It will be a very dark world when the true Christ comes at the seventh trump. Satan is here claiming to be Jesus and it is written that the whole world is deceived.
Isa.60:3] And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
When the Elect are delivered up, and the Holy Spirit speaks through them all will see. Let’s go to Rev.21:24 and it reads.
Rev.21:24] And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
Nations is ethnos, we get our word ethnics from it. Meaning all races from all over the world are drawn to the Light, which is Christ. Back to Isa.60 and verse 4 reads.
Isa.60:4] Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
All who were deceived will be saved, for they love Jesus, they just worshipped the wrong Jesus. Deceived by the churches today to fly away with the first one, which is the antichrist.
Isa.60:5] Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
Fear is reverence, and enlarged is happiness. So, with great joy they come back to the LORD. We learn in Rev.17:15 that the sea are the peoples. The great multitude of the Gentiles also come to you because you are before the LORD, and all knees will bow. Let’s go to Psa.72 and verse 11 reads.
Psa.72:11] Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
They also did this at the birth of Jesus, speaking of the wise men. Let’s go to Mat.2 and verse 11 reads.
Mat.2:11] And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
For both advents, the world will come to him. Back to Isa.60 and verse 6 reads.
Isa.60:6] The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
All nations (Ethnos) will come to the LORD and every knee will bow.
Isa.60:7] All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
Kedar is said for the dark skin peoples, in other words, all God’s children not just the sons of Jacob. The important thing said here was “I will glorify the house of MY glory.” Let’s go to Haggai 2 and verse 6 reads.
Hag.2:6] For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
This shaking is at the seventh trump.
Hag.2:7] And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
The purpose of God’s will is revealed. Back to Isa.60 and verse 8 reads.
Isa.60:8] Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
[9] Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
For our God is a consuming fire, Heb.12:29. Fire consumes all evil, but as with gold and silver, we are all refined. Let’s go back to Psa.72 and verse 10 reads.
Psa.72:10] The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
Tarshish is said for commerce, they were the trade capitol. A restoration for the world.
Isa.60:10] And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
God’s mercy is enough for us, for Jesus’s blood on the cross gave us Salvation through repentance.
Isa.60:11] Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
Now with verses 5,10 and 11, I want to go back to Rev.21 and get a better understanding. Verse 24 reads.
Rev.21:24] And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
[25] And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
[26] And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
There shall be no night there? Let’s back up here in Rev.21 to verse 22 and it reads.
Rev.21:22] And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
[23] And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Back to Isa.60 and verse 12 reads.
Isa.60:12] For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
Prophesied also in Zec.14 and verse 17 reads.
Zec.14:17] And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
Those who don’t repent and are of the serpent’s seed will surely be consumed by fire. Back to Isa.60 and verse 13 reads.
Isa.60:13] The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
Another place in God’s word where he uses symbolism. These trees are all evergreen trees, meaning life everlasting. God would say in Hosea 14:8 “I am like a green fir tree”, simply meaning life everlasting.
Isa.60:14] The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
This just said they would bow at the soles of our feet. To understand this, know they are not bowing down to you, but that all would bow before the LORD. You are just in front of them, thus at the soles of your feet. Let’s go to Rev.3 and verse 9 reads.
Rev.3:9] Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Back to Isa.60 and verse 15 reads.
Isa.60:15] Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
Not forsaken or hated by God, but by others in the flesh. Remember Jesus would say in Luke 21 and verse 17 reads.
Luke 21:17] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
For his name’s sake, we are called Christians. And also, John 15 and verse 18 reads.
John 15:18] If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
[19] If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Called and chosen from OUT of the world. Back to Isa.60 and verse 16 reads.
Isa.60:16] Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Don’t let anyone pervert this verse, it simply means they will give you substance. We have the trinity spoken again here in Isaiah. And we will know the LORD is Savior our Redeemer and the mighty One of Jacob, our Father.
Isa.60:17] For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.
In our spiritual bodies everything is better, the LORD will do this.
Isa.60:18] Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
It is a full restoration, corruptible will put on incorruption. 1Cor.15 and verse 50 reads.
1Cor.15:50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
We must all be changed into our spiritual bodies before we can enter into his kingdom.
1Cor.15:51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
Paul is showing us a mystery, pay close attention.
1Cor.15:52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
At the last trump, the seventh, then all who are alive in the flesh shall be changed into their spiritual bodies.
1Cor.15:53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Very important to understand the corruptible is said for the flesh, but now we have mortal. Mortal means liable to die, and we are now speaking of your soul. Your soul must put on immortality which is deathlessness.
1Cor.15:54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
[55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
Paul does a very good job at explaining the two differences, we have a flesh body and we have a spiritual body. We have spiritual bodies and within our spiritual body we have our soul. The soul is the intellect of our bodies. Let’s go to Ecc.12 and we find when the flesh dies, and verse 7 reads.
Ecc.12:7] Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Back to Isa.60 and verse 19 reads.
Isa.60:19] The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
We are talking about the firmament that God created on the second day of creation. Gen.1:6-8. God called the firmament heaven. Let’s go to Zec.2 and verse 5 reads.
Zec.2:5] For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
Remember Rev.21:23, and it reads.
Rev.21:23] And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
So, what we have here is full restoration back to how it was in the first earth age. Back to Isa.60 and verse 20 reads.
Isa.60:20] Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
Let’s go back to Rev.21 and verse 4 reads.
Rev.21:4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
[5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Back to Isa.60 and verse 21 reads.
Isa.60:21] Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
All wicked are blotted out, there will be no more tears.
Isa.60:22] A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
We have now come to the end of the LORD’s Day, a new heaven and earth age, the third heaven and earth age. Great study, let’s go to his throne.
Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
