Israel is restored to Zion. Isaiah 35 and verse 1 reads.
Isa.35:1] The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
The change has happened and all have put off the flesh.
Isa.35:2] It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
Lebanon given here for the children of God. Carmel for fruitfulness. Sharon meaning a plain, I believe given here for the other meaning and you can check me out in the Strong’s, H8289 Shârôwn pronounced shaw-rone’. And means; plain; {Sharon} the name of a place in Palestine. 3. a district on the east of the Jordan around Gilead and Bashan. Now, looking back on verse 2 I would say even Palestine will see the glory of the LORD. just notice that Palestine is on the East side of the Jordan river and not where they claim today to be their land.
Isa.35:3] Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
Comfort one another with these words. Paul would quote this in Hebrews 12 and verse 12 reads.
Heb.12:12] Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
[13] And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Keep your paths straight for those who are lame be not put out of the way. Don’t be a stumbling block for the poor in spirit. Back to Isa.35 and verse 4 reads.
Isa.35:4] Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Only the wicked should truly fear him, but those of us who believe on him shall be saved. Be strong for his vengeance is against those who refuse to repent. Let’s go to Psa.145 and verse 18 reads.
Psa.145:18] The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
[19] He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
The word “Fear is Love”.
Psa.145:20] The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
Back to Isa.35 and verse 5 reads.
Isa.35:5] Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Think spiritually here, our spiritual eyes and ears shall be opened. Speaking of those that were blinded for their sakes. Let’s go to John 9 and verse 6 reads.
John 9:6] When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
[7] And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
I want you to notice the word Sent, his elect. And in Matthew 11 verse 5 reads.
Mat.11:5] The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
That was the power of Jesus Christ for the first advent, but here in Isaiah we are comparing the first to the second advent. To the second coming of our LORD. Back to Isa.35 and verse 6 reads.
Isa.35:6] Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
All is given for the spiritual body, no more sorrows. Jesus would teach us this in John 7 and verse 37 reads.
John 7:37] In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
[38] He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
[39] (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
How great is the Word of God, back to Isa.35 and verse 7 reads.
Isa.35:7] And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
Even the land itself rejoices. Let’s go to Romans 8 and verse 22 reads.
Rom.8:22] For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
[23] And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Paul speaks of waiting for the change back to his spiritual body. Back to Isa.35 and verse 8 reads.
Isa.35:8] And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
The way is a road, only God’s children will be on this road. Let’s go to 1Peter 1 and verse 13 reads.
1Pet.1:13] Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
At the revelation of Jesus Christ is the second advent.
1Pet.1:14] As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
[15] But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
[16] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
[17] And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
[18] Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
[19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
As the Passover’s Lamb of God, who’s blood covers our sins on repentance. Back to Isa.35 and verse 9 reads.
Isa.35:9] No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
Without any threats against us. Let’s go to Leviticus 26 and verse 6 reads.
Lev.26:6] And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
Back to Isa.35 and verse 10 reads.
Isa.35:10] And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
The kingdom of the LORD has returned to earth. For those that overcome joy and gladness only remains. Let’s go to Rev.7 and verse 14 reads.
Rev.7:14] And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
[15] Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
[16] They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
[17] For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
And Revelation 21 and verse 3 reads.
Rev.21:3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
[4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Though we all wait for this wonderful day, we have a lot of work to do. We must first bring as many as we can back to the LORD, then teach them repentance. Let’s go to his throne.
Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
