A great study for us today, verses 1-8 is for the coming reign of the righteous King, Jesus Christ. In these first few verses we will have three blessings that turn what is upside down back to upside right, verses 1,3 and 5. Verses 9-20 are Women of Jerusalem be warned. Isaiah 32 and verse 1 reads.

Isa.32:1] Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

Obviously, we are speaking here of Jesus Christ, and the seventh trump has sounded. This is the first blessing. What of these princes that rule in judgment? They are the elect and are called priests in other places, let’s go to Rev.20 and pick it up with verse 1 and it reads.

Rev.20:1] And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
[2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
[3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

We are at the beginning of the LORD’s Day, the millennium. Satan is removed from influencing the world. He will be cast into the bottomless pit with chains so powerful they even keep his spirit locked up.

Rev.20:4] And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

God’s elect, those who stood and did not fly away with Satan at the sixth trump. They neither worshipped the beast nor did his works.

Rev.20:5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

They are spiritually dead, and will need the millennium if they are to live. Now, why we came here.

Rev.20:6] Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The princes are priests, and what do priests do, they teach. And reign with Christ, this is how they sit in judgment. Back to Isa.32 and verse 2 reads.

Isa.32:2] And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

This word man is our Lord Jesus Christ. Covert is another hiding place, Jesus is our Rock, not theirs. What this is saying is Christ is the Rock that we stand on.

Isa.32:3] And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.

Second blessing. Eyes to see and ears to hear, God’s elect eyes and ears will be opened in these end times. Jesus would teach us this lesson, let’s go to John 9 and verse 1 reads.

John 9:1] And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
[2] And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
[3] Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Jesus would open the eyes of this blind man and the Pharisees would end up kicking him out of the synagogue after some contentious debate. For sake of time let’s drop down to verse 39 and it reads.

John 9:39] And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
[40] And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
[41] Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

Father, we ask always for eyes to see and ears to hear in Jesus’s precious name, Amen. Isa.32 and verse 4 reads.

Isa.32:4] The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.

What is being said here is very important for the elect. It is saying; The mind of the impulsive shall be given knowledge, and the speech of the man who stutters shall speak fluently and clearly understood by all. This is for the elect when they are delivered up to Satan during the sixth trump and the Holy Spirit speaks through them. To not allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them would be the unpardonable sin. Let’s go to Luke 21 and verse 12 reads.

Luke 21:12] But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.
[13] And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
[14] Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
[15] For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

I came to Luke here for that last verse, that they will not be able to gainsay nor resist. Mat.24 and Mark 13 are better chapters in understanding exactly how it goes down in the end times. This is so important because when God’s elect stand and the Holy Spirit speaks through them, then many others eyes will be opened and they will repent and come back to the LORD. Back to Isa.32 and verse 5 reads.

Isa.32:5] The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.

This being the third blessing of this chapter. This said; the fool shall no more be called noble, nor the miser be called bountiful. The eyes being opened isn’t just for knowledge of God’s word, but for seeing the evil for who they are. And that in today’s world is worth more than gold. This is why I ask that all my students have a Strong’s Concordance. Always check your teachers.

Isa.32:6] For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

Again, we have vile said here for foolish. But read that closely, look around today, we see it everywhere. Let’s go to Amos 8 and verse 11 reads.

Amos 8:11] Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

The liars who show their hypocrisy are as fools, but those who do not study God’s word are easily deceived. They become spiritually dead. Back to Isa.32 and verse 7 reads.

Isa.32:7] The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

Churl again means miser, or greedy one. Let’s go to Proverbs 19 and verse 3 reads.

Prov.19:3] The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.
[4] Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.
[5] A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

This is why verse 5 was the third blessing, the words vile, churl and liberal have been repeated in the last two verses and coming in the next. Note them, back to Isa.32 and verse 8 reads.

Isa.32:8] But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

Liberal meaning the noble ones. Not as liberal which has been perverted today. We see here that the foolish and greedy are wicked to the LORD, but the righteous shall stand with God. Now from verse 9-20 we have the women of Jerusalem are warned.

Isa.32:9] Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.

Listen up and hear the words of the LORD, said in irony to the women of Jerusalem. Let’s go to Zephaniah 2 and verse 15 reads.

Zeph.2:15] This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

This is Mystery Babylon of the end times. Back to Isa.32 and verse 10 reads.

Isa.32:10] Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.

Vintage said for wine, they make communion with the antichrist instead of the true Christ. Careless means they have become complacent. They will not be blessed. This could be the church of Ephesus from Rev.2:4 that Jesus said; They have left their first love.

Isa.32:11] Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.
[12] They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.

Let’s go to Rev.2 and verse 1 reads.

Rev.2:1] Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
[2] I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
[3] And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
[4] Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
[5] Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

They fall into temptation thinking the antichrist is the Christ, maybe because they were taught that they would rapture and fly away with the first Christ. Back to Isa.32 and verse 13 reads.

Isa.32:13] Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:

Remember back in Isaiah 7 the prophecy for the end times given to Jerusalem. Verse 23 reads.

Isa.7:23] And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.
[24] With arrows and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.
[25] And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.

We have been in the generation of the fig tree since Israel became a nation in 1948. Watchmen watch. Back to Isa.32 and verse 14 reads.

Isa.32:14] Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;

Have gone into captivity, it has become unfit for anything, it has become as Sodom and Gomorrah. Make a note verse 19 should have been inserted between verses 14 and 15. We’ll see in a minute.

Isa.32:15] Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

Notice that we have a change in tempo here. Until the Holy Spirit is poured on the elect and speaks through his elect, this is the fruitful field becoming a forest. God will use both men and women for this, let’s go to Joel 2 and verse 28 reads.

Joel 2:28] And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
[29] And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Never think that a woman can’t be one of God’s Elect, and don’t ever tell one of my sisters they have to be silent. Back to Isa.32 and verse 16 reads.

Isa.32:16] Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

Everything is so much better with the LORD dwelling within us. Read this next verse carefully.

Isa.32:17] And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

What an awesome time that will be. Let’s go to Romans 14 and verse 17 reads.

Rom.14:17] For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
[18] For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
[19] Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

And in James 2 he gave the comparison between the two, and verse 14 reads.

James 3:14] But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
[15] This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
[16] For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
[17] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
[18] And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Blessed are the peacemakers. Back to Isa.32 and verse 18 reads.

Isa.32:18] And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Christ is our sabbath, our rest. Let’s go to 2Cor.6 and verse 14 reads.

2Cor.6:14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
[15] And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
[16] And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
[18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

This promise from God warms my heart the most. We can see this next verse should have been inserted between verses 14 and 15. Pertaining back to when God’s wrath happens.

Isa.32:19] When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.

The wrath comes with hailstones the weight of a talent, that’s between 120 and 180 lbs. depending on who’s measurement you use. Back to our blessings, verse 20 which should have come after verse 18 and it reads.

Isa.32:20] Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.

Blessed is happy, happy are you that sow beside waters. Because where water flows, food grows. (Said a well driller once) Christ is the Living Water, let’s go and see Jesus teaching the woman at the well about this, John 4 and verse 10 reads.

John 4:10] Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

This woman is a little hard on hearing to begin with, but she comes around.

John 4:11] The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
[12] Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
[13] Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
[14] But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Christ the Living Water is life everlasting, it is eternal. Great study today, let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
