In Isaiah today verses 1-5 is the doom of Babylon predicted. And verses 6-22 how the LORD uses the Medes to destroy Babylon. Isa.13 and verse 1 reads.
Isa.13:1] The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.
The Lord gave Isaiah a vision that he could see, this is what makes a prophet a prophet. Now, from here on we have a prophecy, what will happen to Babylon is akin to what will happen to Satan at the seventh trump. Verse 2 continues.
Isa.13:2] Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
Let them know what’s coming. I want to go to Isaiah 18 where America is in the bible. Isa.18 and verse 3 reads.
Isa.18:3] All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
America is that ensign on the mountain, it will be the nations of Israel and America that the one world order will go against. The House of Israel is America and the House of Judah is Israel today. The Lord’s Elect are these nobles spoken of here. Let’s go back to Isa.10 and verse 32 reads.
Isa.10:32] As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
[33] Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
Back to Isa.13 and verse 3 reads.
Isa.13:3] I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.
Speaking here of his elect, from all countries all over the world that love the Lord and we do rejoice. Let’s go to Joel where this is also prophesied. Joel 3 and verse 10 reads.
Joel 3:10] Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
We are strong because the Lord is with us.
Joel 3:11] Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.
[12] Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
Jehoshaphat is H3092 Yᵉhôwshâphâṭ in Hebrew and means; YAH has judged. 1. son of king Asa and himself king of Judah for 25 years; one of the best, most pious, and prosperous kings of Judah. A lot of times in God’s word names have meaning for a reason, especially for prophecy. In this case, God has judged. The 7th.trump has sounded.
Joel 3:13] Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
We see great wickedness in the world and even in our streets today. Don’t forget this sickle, we’ll come back to it later. Back to Isa.13 and verse 4 reads.
Isa.13:4] The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.
These “Mountains” are nations. Father is always in control. Mustereth here is H6485 pâqad, and has a lot of meanings. c. (Piel) to muster, call up. The LORD of hosts calls together the host of the battle.
Isa.13:5] They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
Let’s go to Rev.14 and pick it up with verse 14 and it reads.
Rev.14:14] And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
[15] And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
[16] And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
The weapon of his indignation is the sickle. Back to Isa.13 and verse 6 reads.
Isa.13:6] Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
The Day of the LORD comes quickly. Let’s go to Rev.11 we find after the sixth trump the seventh trump comes quickly. Rev.11 and verse 14 reads.
Rev.11:14] The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
And Joel 1:15 reads.
Joel 1:15] Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
Now in Isaiah we are speaking about the king of Babylon, Nebuchadrezzar who is the like for Satan in these end times. Back to Isa.13 and verse 7 reads.
Isa.13:7] Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:
Those who protect Babylon, confusion. Those who have the mark in the hand and do the works of Satan.
Isa.13:8] And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
They shall be embarrassed and pray for mountains to fall on them. Rev.6:16. Pretty obvious Isaiah is talking about the end times. Let’s see what Paul had to say about this in 1Thes.5 and verse 3 reads.
1Thes.5:3] For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Back to Isa.13 and verse 9 reads.
Isa.13:9] Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
I want to go to a few places because this is very important. The cup of wrath shall be poured out and it will hurt. But let’s remember 2Pet.3:9 and it reads.
2Pet.3:9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Now, let’s go to Amos 9 and verse 10 reads.
Amos 9:10] All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
Not all will repent, even after the elect are delivered up and the Holy Spirit speaks through them. These are the Kenites who do the works of Satan in the end times, and will not repent. Let’s go to Rev.16 and verse 9 reads.
Rev.16:9] And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
[10] And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
[11] And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
God is very patient and wants all to come to repentance, but many are of that wicked one and will not repent. Back to Isa.13 and verse 10 reads.
Isa.13:10] For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
Because the coming of the Lord is brighter than any celestial light. Let’s go to Mark 13, Jesus is telling us how it will be in the end times at the seventh trump, verse 24 reads.
Mark 13:24] But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
After the tribulation of the antichrist. There are two tribulations.
Mark 13:25] And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
[26] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Proving here there will be no rapture, we wait for the true Christ, the seventh trump. This will be the second tribulation. Why would you want to go anywhere when Christ is coming here? Back to Isa.13 and verse 11 reads.
Isa.13:11] And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
There are Kenites and Atheists in the world, and they will burn as chaff if they don’t heed 2Pet.3:9.
Isa.13:12] I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
For our God is a consuming fire, Heb.12:29. If you are as gold, the fire purifies you. If you are like chaff, poof, up in smoke.
Isa.13:13] Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
This brings his prophecy to the end times specifically, “in the day of his fierce anger”. Let’s go first to another prophet, Haggai for a second witness. Hag.2 and verse 6 reads.
Hag.2:6] For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
[7] And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
Don’t overlook “The desire of all nations will come.” Come back to the Lord. Now let’s go to Hebrews where Paul gives us a better look into this matter. Heb.12 and verse 26 reads.
Heb.12:26] Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
[27] And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Those who stand on our Rock, Jesus Christ. Notice This Word signifies the removing. God’s word will come to pass exactly as it is written.
Heb.12:28] Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
[29] For our God is a consuming fire.
Let’s now go to Psalms 110 and verse 4 reads.
Psa.110:4] The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Melchi means King, and Zedek means the righteous One. King of kings and Lord of lords. Jesus Christ.
Psa.110:5] The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
Jesus is at the right hand of God.
Psa.110:6] He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
At the seventh trump, Jesus returns with the wrath of God. Back to Isa.13 and verse 14 reads.
Isa.13:14] And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.
As sheep with no shepherd, they come out of Babylon, confusion. This is Zerubbabel, born in confusion but comes out. Remember we are now going into the seventh trump.
Isa.13:15] Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.
The sword of the LORD is the Word of God. They never read his word or were taught the truth of his word.
Isa.13:16] Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
At the seventh trump all are changed into their spiritual bodies. Let’s go to 1Cor.15 and pick it up with verse 50 and it reads.
1Cor.15:50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Only the spirit body inherits heaven, no flesh. Now, learn a mystery.
1Cor.15:51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
The spiritually dead shall be raised, and changed into spiritual bodies. Notice at the last trump, the seventh trump, all who are on earth in the flesh shall be changed into spiritual bodies. In an instant, in the twinkling of an eye.
1Cor.15:53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Mortal means souls, they must become immortal, unable to die spiritually.
1Cor.15:54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
Meaning when both spiritual body and soul have overcome death.
1Cor.15:55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
[56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
[57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
[58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Our works are the only thing we can take with us to heaven. Back to Isa.13 and verse 17 reads.
Isa.13:17] Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
Babylon will fall to the Medes and the Persians.
Isa.13:18] Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
Deception won’t help them.
Isa.15:19] And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
With fire and brimstone in the end times. Sodom and Gomorrah were brought up for a reason here. Let’s go to Gen.19 and verse 24 reads.
Gen.19:24] Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
[25] And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
This world has become as Sodom and Gomorrah and will be destroyed in this way. Back to Isa.13, remember Isaiah is speaking about Babylon for the end times, and verse 20 reads.
Isa.13:20] It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.
[21] But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.
[22] And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.
Babylon is about 50 miles south of Baghdad in Iraq of today. Saddam Hussein rebuilt Babylon sometime in the 1980’s. On Dec.13th2003 Saddam Hussein was found in a spider hole by American Christian soldiers. And when he came out of the hole it is recorded that he said “I am king”. A like for the end times. Let’s go to his throne.
