In today’s lesson, though a very short chapter, it can be titled. Thanksgiving for God’s mercies, and Salvation for his children. Isaiah 12 and verse 1 reads.

Isa.12:1] And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

In that day is the Lord’s Day, at the seventh trump, though I angered you, you forgave me. Let’s go to Zec.14 and pick it up with verse 19 and it reads.

Zec.14:19] This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Those that don’t overcome.

Zec.14:20] In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’s house shall be like the bowl’s before the altar.

In that day, again is the Lord’s Day, the seventh trump.

Zec.14:21] Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Canaanite H3669 Kᵉnaʻanîy in the Hebrew means; a merchant, a trader, a trafficker. Not to be confused here with the offspring of Canaan. The sacrifices at the seventh trump is Our Love. Back to Isa.12 and verse 2 reads.

Isa.12:2] Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

When we see the LORD in uppercase it is always his Holy name. I won’t argue with anyone who calls him JEHOVAH, after all it is spoken in English. But myself I will call him YAHAVEH which is his name in the Hebrew tongue. We only have YHVH to go by from scriptures and we are to fill in the vowels. Back to the subject being said here in verse 2, let’s go to Exo.15 and pick it up with verse 2 and it reads.

Exo.15:2] The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
[3] The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

The children of Israel just watched the LORD wipe out Pharaoh’s army in the Red Sea after they walked over on dry land. Don’t overlook the LORD is a man of war. Also, the LORD is his name, means to me that we call his name in Hebrew. Back to Isa.12 and verse 3 reads.

Isa.12:3] Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Jesus is the Living Water, he is our Savior. Another place in the Old Testament written about Jesus. Let’s go to Jeremiah 2 and verse 13 reads.

Jer.2:13] For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

This was one of the reasons Judah went into captivity, the other was worshipping idols. Back to Isa.12 and verse 4 reads.

Isa.12:4] And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

Call upon his name, he said his name is YAHAVEH. Praise the LORD is Hallelujah in Hebrew. Notice the J in Hallelujah, we are reading English and in English it is still pronounced Y as in YAH. Back to the study, let’s go to Psalms 105 and verse 1 reads.

Psa.105:1] O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
[2] Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

Give Thanksgiving to the LORD, sing out loud Hallelujah. Back to Isa.12 and verse 5 reads.

Isa.12:5] Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

Let’s not overlook when, at the LORD’s Day, the seventh trump. Christ has come, our Savior. And all will sing praise to the LORD, and it will be a wondrous time for Satan is put away and we have a thousand years without him.

Isa.12:6] Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

The LORD is in the midst of us. He is with us, Jesus Christ the Son of God, for a millennium. The Father will not be with us until the end of the millennium. Let’s go to the prophet Zephaniah 3 and verse 14 reads.

Zeph.3:14] Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
[15] The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.

The King of Israel is in the midst of thee, Jesus Christ. Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords. But Satan is locked up in the pit for a thousand years, and will be released for a short time.

Zeph.3:16] In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.

Our hands are not slack because we have done the works of God.

Zeph.3:17] The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

The Lord will celebrate with us. Let’s go to Psalms 89 and finish with verse 18 and it reads.

Psa.89:18] For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

Again, we have Jesus Christ in the Old Testament, all throughout the Old we find him because he is the Word, he is King, he is GOD. Let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
