We are children of Light in a world full of Darkness, we are his children and he is our God. We live in the world and are not of this world, but he has chosen us out of this world for a reason, for our destiny. We are to Trust in him. Let’s begin our study in 2Samuel 22 and verse 1 reads.
2Sam.22:1] And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:
[2] And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
The LORD is our Father, our Rock is Jesus Christ. Jesus means; Yah’s Savior, Christ means; The Anointed One, Messiah. The two are One, they are our fortress that deliver us from our enemies.
2Sam.22:3] The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
[4] I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
Let’s drop down to verse 29 and it reads.
2Sam.22:29] For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.
[30] For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.
[31] As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
To ALL who trust in him. He is our lamp, our Light in the world of Darkness. Now let’s go to Psalms 2 and verse 11 reads.
Psa.2:11] Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
This word Fear is H3372 yârêʼ. Pronounced yaw-ray’. And means; To fear, reverence, honour, respect. We reverence our God and not man.
Psa.2:12] Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Notice the uppercase S in Son, speaking of the second advent, Jesus returns with a rod of iron for discipline. Another promise for those that put their trust in him. To call yourself a Christian in these end times will bring persecution on you, because they hated him before they hated you. It is our trust in him that brings protection for us from those that persecute us. Let’s go to Psalms 7 and verse 1 reads.
Psa.7:1] O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
A nation as a whole can receive blessings from the LORD also. Our great nation, America, has on our money; In God We Trust. Let’s go to Psalms 33 and verse 12 reads.
Psa.33:12] Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD: and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
America is a chosen nation promised in Isaiah 18 as that nation flowing with milk and honey. We have been a blessing to the world since our conception. We have lifted billions of people out of poverty, more than any other nation that has ever existed. The only nation that ever existed with In God We Trust on their currency. In 1864 In God We Trust appeared for the first on the bronze two-cent piece. During the next few decades, it gradually appeared on gold and silver coins. In 1957 it appeared on our paper money for the first time, thanks to the congress in 1956 making the law to put it on all currencies. The LORD has always blessed us and will always protect us. Let’s go to that great promise in Isaiah 18 and verse 1 reads.
Isa.18:1] Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
When you stand in Jerusalem and look directly over Ethiopia, you look into the direction of America.
Isa.18:2] That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
The LORD scattered his children, the ten tribes of the house of Israel he sent into captivity. When Assyria released them after two hundred years of captivity, they went over the Caucasus mountains calling them Caucasians for the first time, and migrated through Europe and into the Americas. This peeled means; clean shaven. Terrible H3372 yârêʼ. Pronounced yaw-ray’. And means; To fear, reverence, honour, respect. When we see Fear, and translate it as Revere for the LORD, this is that same word. Our land is spoiled by great rivers throughout, and we are truly a blessed nation.
Isa.18:3] All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
Mountains properly translated is nations. This nation is promised for the end times. The seven trumpets have begun to sound. Do you have ears to hear?
Isa.18:4] For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
[5] For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
For the harvest of the end times.
Isa.18:6] They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
Beasts is plural, we have two beasts of the end times. The first beast is the one world order. The second beast is Satan when he comes at the sixth trump claiming to be Christ.
Isa.18:7] In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
The world shall know that the LORD has blessed this great nation. A nation that fears the LORD and that the LORD will use in the end times. America (The house of Jacob) are all twelve tribes. Israel (The house of Judah), the mount Zion. All this is to come at the time of the fig tree generation. 1948 Israel became a nation again. The only time in the history of the world a nation ceased to exist and then came to be again. Let’s go back to the Psalms of David, Psalms 91 and verse 1 reads.
Psa.91:1] He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[2] I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Fortress means; protection. Many people say In God We Trust is not in the bible. This just said; God, in him will I trust.
Psa.91:3] Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
[4] He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
The LORD delivers us from the evil of these end times. Our shield and buckler are our gospel armor for these end times. Let’s go to Ephesians 6 and verse 10 reads.
Eph.6:10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
It is the LORD’s strength that protects us, giving us reason to carry on and to do his will without fear.
Eph.6:11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Here is the war that we are in. Against Darkness, that is the Principalities on high, that is Satan. Our armor is Jesus Christ, the Word of God.
Eph.6:13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
In the evil day is just before the LORD’s Day, the sixth trump, called the hour of temptation.
Eph.6:14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Our feet shod with the gospel of peace, to plant seeds wherever we can. Take the Word to the world that will hear it. Prepare, study, the gospels are for teaching others the Word of God.
Eph.6:16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
God is our shield and buckler. Faith is our Trust in God.
Eph.6:17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
[18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Saints are the Elect. Prayer is powerful, we pray for one another. We are of the Spirit which is the Holy Spirit. Watchmen watch, and warn the people of the prophecies that come to pass. We learn in Revelation 1 and verse 16 reads.
Rev.1:16] And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
Our only defensive tool out of the gospel armor is this sword. It comes out of his mouth and is the Word of God. Back to Ephesians 6 and verse 19 reads.
Eph.6:19] And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
[20] For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Teach the Word of God boldly and without apology.
Eph.6:21] But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
[22] Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
[23] Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
[24] Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son of God. Both with the Holy Spirit make up the full Triune Godhead (Trinity). It is the Word of God that is our gospel armor for these end times that protect us from all the evil and wickedness in this world. It is the Word that we put our Trust in. It is God Almighty that we Trust to protect us. This is our destiny, to stand, not fly away, but stand against Satan in these end times. Read his Word, study his Word, seek his Word and Trust in the Word. For God will never leave you nor forsake you. Let’s go to his throne.
