We now come to Hebrews, let’s first talk about this word Hebrew. It is H5680 Hebrew, a son of Eber and means those that crossed the river from beyond. Comes from H5677 Eber or Heber which means from beyond. Gen.11:15-17, Gen.11:25-27. We also find this in Luke 3:34. Now this book is also written by Paul with Luke as the scribe. Many scholars dispute this claim but I will prove by the word that Paul indeed did write this book. Hebrews 1 and verse 1 reads.

Heb.1:1] God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

Miriam and Aaron, Moses’s brother and sister would learn the hard way when they tempted Moses. Num.12:5-9 reads.

Num.12:5] And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
[6] And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
[7] My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
[8] With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
[9] And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

Miriam would be stricken with leprosy and both would learn a valuable lesson. Back to Heb.1 and verse 2 reads.

Heb.1:2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Worlds is Ion in the Greek, meaning a space of time. Learn the three world ages, Gen.1. Don’t overlook these last days, that’s today. Spoken by Jesus in the Gospels, let’s go to John 1:1-3 and it reads.

John 1:1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Back to Heb.1 and verse 3 reads.

Heb.1:3] Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

As it is also written in John 1:14, he would come in the flesh (The Word), and without blemish be delivered up to death for our sins, rise again on the third day, and is at the right hand of God.

Heb.1:4] Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

All who have come through the flesh have sinned. It is impossible for us not to sin in the flesh. So, of course he is higher than all the angels, he is God.

Heb.1:5] For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

Told to us by the prophet Isaiah in Isa.7:14 and it reads.

Isa.7:14] Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Immanuel is H6005 and it means; God with us. Back to Hebrews 1 and verse 6 reads.

Heb.1:6] And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

The day will come when all will bow and worship Jesus, but he warned us back in Deuteronomy. Due.32:43 reads.

Due.32:43] Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

Back to Heb.1 and verse 7 reads.

Heb.1:7] And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

This is written in Psalms 104 and verse 4 reads.

Psa.104:4] Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

Back to Heb.1 and verse 8 reads.

Heb.1:8] But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
[9] Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

This also is written in Psalms, 45:6-7 reads.

Psa.45:6] Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
[7] Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Back to Heb.1 and verse 10 reads.

Heb.1:10] And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

Very important to understand the three earth ages, I have done a work on this titled “The Three Heaven and Earth Ages”. Find it in our library or study Genesis Ch.1. But this verse is saying nothing was made that wasn’t made by the hands of Jesus Christ, the Word, John 1:3. Back to Heb.1 and verse 11 reads.

Heb.1:11] They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

Those that don’t love the LORD shall perish, but we who love him, have that wall of protection around us.

Heb.1:12] And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

This is repentance, that we have a change of heart (mind) and then can we be forgiven of our sins, and the Lord’s vesture is dipped in blood. Let’s go to Revelation 19:13-16 and it reads.

Rev.19:13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Never, ever, forget that verse.

Rev.19:14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

These are all those that have passed away and have overcome. Their fine linen are made up of their good works.

Rev.19:15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
[16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Back to Heb.1 and verse 13 reads.

Heb.1:13] But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

We are going to read all of Psalms 110, and it reads.

Psa.110:1] The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
[2] The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Rev.19:15.

Psa.110:3] Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
[4] The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Rev.19:16, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Psa.110:5] The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

Rev.19:15. Smite the rulers of the nations.

Psa.110:6] He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

Rev.19:15 again.

Psa.110:7] He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

An awesome promise for us in these end times. I love how the “Old” and the “New” are proven to be the same. Back to Hebrews 1 and verse 14 reads.

Heb.1:14] Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Did not the angels minister unto Jesus in the wilderness. Mat.4:11. And are not we heirs with the Son of God. Rom.8:17. What a great start for a great book. Let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
