Today we finish the book of Galatians. Gal.6 and verse 1 reads.
Gal.6:1] Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
If a brother falls because of the flesh, pick them up spiritually. The Lord will do so for us when we fall.
Gal.6:2] Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Help your brother, love thy brother.
Gal.6:3] For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
Don’t fall and take others with you.
Gal.6:4] But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
Stand for yourself on your works, and not on someone else.
Gal.6:5] For every man shall bear his own burden.
Burden is G5413 in the Strongs’, Phortion in the Greek, and means; faults of the conscience which oppress the soul. This is very different from all other “Burden”. This one is tied directly to our souls.
Gal.6:6] Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
Let’s go to 2Tim.2:15 and it reads.
2Tim.2:15] Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Why we study everyday is the reason given above. Back to Gal.6 and verse 7 reads.
Gal.6:7] Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
[8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Teach the word of God and not from your hearts. If we teach wrong then their blood is on our hands. We being watchmen in these end times need to take heed of Ezekiel 33 and verse 1 reads.
Eze.33:1] Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
[2] Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
[3] If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
[4] Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
[5] He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
[6] But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
A warning for us in these end times, watchmen watch. Back to Gal.6 and verse 9 reads.
Gal.6:9] And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
The harvest is many, but the workmen are few.
Gal.6:10] As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
The church is family, help others along the way.
Gal.6:11] Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand.
Paul admitting again his eyesight problems.
Gal.6:12] As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
Exactly what is circumcision. For oneself to be clean from the flesh and devoted to the LORD in spirit.
Gal.6:13] For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
Showing themselves to be better than you. Those under law cannot keep the law.
Gal.6:14] But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
[15] For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
Paul speaks in Romans 7 verse 1.
Rom.7:1] Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Again, we are of spirit and not of flesh when we walk in the LORD. Back to Gal.6 and verse 16 reads.
Gal.6:16] And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
To those that are Christians and have excepted Salvation through Jesus Christ.
Gal.6:17] From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
For teaching his word he has the marks on his body.
Gal.6:18] Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
Walk in his Spirit, as he finishes this letter to Gall. A great book for study on law and grace. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed bringing it to you. Let’s go to his throne.
Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
