Since we last studied together, our nation has had an assassination attempt on our beloved President Donald J. Trump. We must pray, and we must return to our Father and ask him to heal our nation. In these times of great division among our people let us read Gods word and find our answers together. First let us open in prayer.
Father, we ask that you open our eyes and ears today to your word in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
Father, Heal our Nation
Why is it so important not only to read his word, but to study his word? Jesus tells us in Mark 13:23 and it reads.
Mar.13:23] But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Jesus has told us all things. He would say often, “It is written”. Donald Trump was shot at 6:11 pm. This is not a coincidence it is the beginning of the Gospel Armor. Let’s go to Eph.6:11 and it reads.
Eph.6:11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
I want you to notice that it is a spiritual fight. We must fight them for this is what the gospel armor is for. These wicked, spiritual powers do rule in high places. Peace and not violence. Our feet to deliver the Word of God to the world. Your faith will protect your credibility. Your helmet is Christ, and the sword is his word. This is why we not only read his word but we study his word. Because Jesus has told us all things, and he wants to know if you have read it. Now that you know that, even that is not enough. Let us go to James 1:19 and it reads.
James1:19] Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
[20] For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
[21] Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
[22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
[23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
[24] For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
[25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Not only a hearer of his word but a doer. Jesus tells us “I came not into this world for peace but for division”. What was he talking about? He was talking about the first prophesy of God, remember Gen.3:14-15? Let’s go there again, and it reads.
Gen.3:14] And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
[15] And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
So, let’s know that this is a spiritual war, for that we need an enemy. We are reminded that this world is full of evil. We have the children of God, and we have that Serpents seed. Children of that wicked one, Kenites. And with the gospel armor on to stand (not fly away) before all wicked in this world to deliver the gospel unto this world. This is why you were born at this time, to read, to know, and to Do. We are to love our brothers and to fight the wicked. This is Spiritual, and I know the end of the book, we win. But how can this country be healed? By God and Him only. Let us go to 2Chr.7:14 and read.
2Chr.7:14] If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
[15] Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
Called by his name, Christ men, Christians. His eyes and ears are open to our prayers, this should have all of us praying for our sins be forgiven, and turn from wicked thoughts. Yes, even the gentiles, since Christ died on the cross for all, they shall have this promise also. Believe, and you shall inherit the kingdom of God. let’s go to Isa.19:19-22 and read.
Isa.19:19] In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
[20] And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
[21] And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.
[22] And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.
The Lord smites and heals. Always as soon as they come back to Him. Yes, for all the world, “If” they be children of the Living God. This promise given to the world long ago, our Savior, Jesus Christ. But a warning to all of us, back to 2Chr.7:19 and it reads.
2Chr.7:19] But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;
[20] Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.
To turn back or return to the Lord is all he asked of us. But, how do we do this? Some go to church every Sunday and do the worship service. Is that enough? No. it’s great to worship Him, but that’s not what he asked. He says return unto me, let me remind you of John 1:1, and it reads.
John1:1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Return to the Word. If your church is not teaching the Word of God, then you go in vain. This is why I teach Monday-Friday book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse. Return to Me, return to My Word. Let’s go to Malachi and read.
Mal.3:7] Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
[8] Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
[9] Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
[10] Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
We tithe where we are fed so we can receive his blessings, so much we won’t have room for it all.
Mal.3:11] And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
[12] And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
[13] Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
[14] Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
[15] And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
[16] Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
This book of remembrance is the Book of Life, and it shall be opened, and we shall be judged out of it at the Great White Throne Judgement.
Mal.3:17] And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
[18] Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
Father can heal our land, and he will heal our land. But know this, when He does heal our land there will be a division in the land. There will be righteous and there will be wicked. There will be those who know and do his word, and there will be those who don’t. There will be those that serve Him, and those that serve Him not. When we turn back to Him, He will turn back to us. And those that are wicked among us who do not turn back to him, He will smite. When he pours out that cup of wrath, they will feel it. The LORD loves us. He has given his word to us from the beginning to the end. Let us go to Rev.19:13 and finish this study.
Rev.19:13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
And we in these end times have a purpose. Will you study His word, and learn his word. To know His word, and do His word. We read with understanding. We pray for eyes to be opened to his truth. The Lord has answered our questions before we ever asked. Will the Lord heal our land? Yes. When will the Lord heal our land? When we return to Him, to His Word, and know his Word, and Do His Word. We will put on the gospel armor and “fight, fight, fight” against the wickedness of this world. Let us go to his throne.
Father, we ask that you heal our land. We ask that you open the eyes of your children. We ask that you deliver us from evil. And as we take your word to the world that you keep your loving hands over us, as you have kept your hands over President Trump. We ask this in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
