God, not Egypt, will defend Judah. Isaiah 31 and verse 1 reads.
Isa.31:1] Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
Another woe here, they go back into captivity, they have become apostates. Let’s go to Daniel 9 and verse 13 reads.
Dan.9:13] As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
[14] Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.
Obey the Word of God, and he will never leave you, come back to him. Back to Isa.31 and verse 2 reads.
Isa.31:2] Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
Should have been translated, “And will bring disaster”, the LORD is holy and never brings evil. Speaking here of those who put their trust in the antichrist. Let’s go to Jeremiah 44 and verse 28 reads.
Jer.44:28] Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.
[29] And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:
Do you think the prophets are not for Christians? Well, let’s go to Romans 16 and verse 26 reads.
Rom.16:26] But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
[27] To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
Back to Isa.31 and verse 3 reads.
Isa.31:3] Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
Speaking of the apostates here. Those that help the antichrist, mark in the hand. Those that hope in the antichrist, mark in the forehead.
Isa.31:4] For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
Isaiah saying this, telling us that the LORD will straighten everything out in his time. Moses wrote in the law, Numbers 24 and verse 9 reads.
Num.24:9] He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.
Back to Isa.31 and verse 5 reads.
Isa.31:5] As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
As a mother bird flutters over her nest for protection, so does our Father. Don’t overlook “So will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem”, also passing over is our Passover brought up here. Passover preserves his people. Christ became our Passover, 1Cor.5:7. Let’s first go to the Song of Moses, the song that the overcomers sing, Due.32 and verse 11 reads.
Due.32:11] As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
[12] So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
Now let’s go to Psalms 91 and verse 4 reads.
Psa.91:4] He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Christ our Passover is our shield and buckler. Let’s now go to Revelation 12 and verse 13 reads.
Rev.12:13] And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
[14] And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
This would be at the sixth trump which has been shortened from 3 ½ years to 5 months. Rev.9. Back to Isa.31 and verse 6 reads.
Isa.31:6] Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
God’s elect will be protected in those days. His children will return to him also.
Isa.31:7] For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
When the elect are delivered up to Satan and the Holy Spirit speaks through them, many of God’s children will believe and repent and be saved. This is our destiny, but what about this gold? Let’s go to 1Kings 12 and verse 28 reads.
1Kings 12:28] Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
[29] And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan.
[30] And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan.
These golden calves became a big sin for Israel, given here in Isaiah for an example for worshipping the antichrist. Back to Isa.31 and verse 8 reads.
Isa.31:8] Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.
Satan, the dragon shall fall alright, and all who worship him at the seventh trump also. You see, God’s elect have already been delivered up and the Holy Spirit has spoken through them before the seventh trump. So, all that heard them and still worshipped the antichrist will be consumed by fire.
Isa.31:9] And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
Again, we have Passover, let’s first read 1Cor.5 and pick it up with verse 6 and it reads.
1Cor.5:6] Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
[7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
[8] Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Now let’s go to Rev.1 and get a good description of him. Rev.1 and verse 14 reads.
Rev.1:14] His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
[15] And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
[16] And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
The blood of Christ is our protection. Let’s go to his throne.
