John 6 and verse 1 reads.

John 6:1] After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
[2] And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.
[3] And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
[4] And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.

Study to show thyself approved. Jesus has separated himself from the multitude to talk to his disciples privately. And Passover was near, but Jesus had compassion on the multitude.

John 6:5] When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
[6] And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

Jesus knew that he was talking about the Word, and not bread as you would eat. But that his body is the bread of life. Would Phillip catch on to what Jesus is talking about?

John 6:7] Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
[8] One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,
[9] There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
[10] And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

This is the feeding of the five thousand, we have studied this three times already. This time we are going to level it up a little, I’m talking about spiritually. Know this, that the bread represents the body of Christ. The fish represents Christianity. In the Greek decipher each letter for fish represents this, “Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior”. Also, Jesus has his disciples sit them down in groups of fifty, always with organization. There are 5,000 men, this does not include their families. So about 15,000 -20,000 people will be fed here. They will be fed the Word of God.

John 6:11] And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
[12] When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
[13] Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

Now remember we are speaking spiritually here. Let’s go back to Matthew chapter 16 and begin with verse 6 and it reads.

Mat.16:6] Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
[7] And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
[8] Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
[9] Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
(12)

Mat.16:10] Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
(7)

Mat.16:11] How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
[12] Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

This is what Jesus has been trying to teach them all along. First you must take away the false teachings that the people have been taught before you can teach them the truth. Such as the rapture doctrine of today. This is why I don’t hold back pointing out the lies of the churches today. Again, his disciples understood that it was the doctrine of the Pharisees and the Sadducees that the baskets represented. Back to John and verse 14 reads.

John 6:14] Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
[15] When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

These men knew scripture, only they got the wrong advent. This advent was for Salvation and not as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. That would be the second advent. Zec.9:9-10.

John 6:16] And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea,
[17] And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.

They think Jesus missed the boat.

John 6:18] And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.
[19] So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.
[20] But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
[21] Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.

In another gospel Peter walked on the water also, and started to sink when he took his eyes off the Lord. Teaching us to never take our eyes off the Lord.

John 6:22] The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;

Because they didn’t see the Lord go out with them, they wondered.

John 6:23] (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)
[24] When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
[25] And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
[26] Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

Jesus will tell them just because you ate a fish sandwich you were filled. Not because of the Word of God that I fed you.

John 6:27] Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
[28] Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
[29] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
[30] They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

Was not the teachings of Jesus enough, but that you needed another miracle too.

John 6:31] Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

Now, they are starting to get it.

John 6:32] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
[33] For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
[34] Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
[35] And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

First that Jesus is that bread of Life, and second Amos 8:11. Let’s go back and read.

Amos 8:11] Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Back to John and verse 36 reads.

John 6:36] But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

Jesus is telling them that they don’t believe. After all that they have witnessed.

John 6:37] All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Now we can realize that Jesus is talking to the Kenites here. Let’s go to 1John 2:18-19 and it reads.

1John 2:18] Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
[19] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Back to John and verse 38 reads.

John 6:38] For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
[39] And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Talking about from flesh unto spirit. And overcoming death. This is the first resurrection.

John 6:40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
[41] The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.

The Jews, the Kenites murmured because he called himself “the Son of God”. they knew that the manna was the Son of God. So, they knew some scripture. This means that they knew Jesus was the Christ. Ok, let’s finish this tomorrow, lets go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
