Okay, let’s get back into it, and it reads.

Matthew 26 part 2

Mat.26:36] Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
[37] And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
[38] Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

An example for you watchmen out there, don’t fall asleep on the job.

Mat.26:39] And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Many teach that Jesus had a “weak” moment here. That is a false teaching by ignorance or maybe purposeful deceit. Jesus is talking about the wrath promised by the Father, the 7 vials. Jesus also knows that it’s out of his hands, but the Fathers will. Let’s find out what Jesus is talking about here. Isaiah 51:17-22 reads.

Isa.51:17] Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.
[18] There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand of all the sons that she hath brought up.
[19] These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?
[20] Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
[21] Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
[22] Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:

Jesus knows that there will be a second advent. And that this must happen. This cup of his fury will be poured out on that wicked generation. These are the 7 vials. Again, in Jeremiah 25:15-17 reads.

Jer.25:15] For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
[16] And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
[17] Then took I the cup at the LORD’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:

One more for good consumption. Rev.14:9-10, and it reads.

Rev.14:9] And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

In his forehead, is deceived to worship the antichrist. Or in his hand, does his works.

Rev.14:10] The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

I think we get his point by now. If you want to study more on this your welcome to.

Isa.51:17-22, Jer.25:15-17, Eze.23:31-33, Zec.12:2, Rev.14:10,16:19,17:4,18:6.

Back to Matthew and it reads.

Mat.26:40] And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
[41] Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

“One hour” is the hour of temptation. That’s when the antichrist is here on the earth. And that would be ½ hour for the first beast, which is the One World Order, and ½ hour for the antichrist. Revelations 13.

Mat.26:42] He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Jesus is praying to the Father, and as he taught us in Matthew 6, we always pray for the Fathers will to be done.

Mat.26:43] And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
[44] And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
[45] Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Meaning that God had answered his prayer, and it was time.

Mat.26:46] Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.
[47] And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

These were not the Roman soldiers but from the chief priest.

Mat.26:48] Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.
[49] And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.
[50] And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
[51] And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear.
[52] Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

In Rev.13:9-10 it reads.

Rev.13:9] If any man have an ear, let him hear.
[10] He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Has the Lord opened your eyes. In Rev.1:15 tells us the sword of the Lord is his tongue, and it cuts both ways. It’s the word of the Lord, it is truth. Jesus continues.

Mat.26:53] Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
[54] But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

Prophesy must be fulfilled.

Mat.26:55] In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
[56] But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

Zecheriah 13:7 fulfilled.

Zec.13:7] Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

Back to Matthew.

Mat.26:57] And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
[58] But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest’s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

First of all, this is illegal for them to have council at night.

Mat.26:59] Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;
[60] But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,
[61] And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

Jesus never said I am able to destroy, but rather, IF YOU, destroy it I am able to raise it. But Jesus was not talking about the temple, but his body. They are lying, they are false witnesses. These 6 things God hates, Proverbs 6:16-19 and it reads.

Pro.6:16] These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
[17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
[18] An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
[19] A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Back to Matthew and it reads.

Mat.26:62] And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
[63] But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
[64] Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Jesus said, I didn’t say that, you said that. But did say there will be a second advent. And this upsets the high priest so much because he had read the scriptures and knew the truth.

Mat.26:65] Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.
[66] What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

These could only be Kenites because murder was in their hearts.

Mat.26:67] Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,
[68] Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

They blind folded him and ask “who hit you”. He knew.

Mat.26:69] Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
[70] But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.
[71] And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.
[72] And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.
[73] And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.

You talk like you are from Galilee, you got that twang in your voice. A New Yorker knows if you are from Oklahoma and vise versa.

Mat.26:74] Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.
[75] And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

When Jesus tells you something don’t doubt it, it will hurt. Peter loved the Lord, there is no doubt about that. And Jesus loved Peter so much he would build his church on him. Peter, meaning rock. Let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word. We ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
