Today’s titles are; Verses 1-6 Jesus heals on the Sabbath. Verses 7-12 Many healed at the seaside. Verses 13-21 Jesus chooses his disciples. Verses 22-29 The unpardonable sin. Verses 30-35 Jesus’ true kin. Mark 3 and verse 1 reads.

Mark 3:1] And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
[2] And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

Always watching to accuse him. Accuse him of what? Healing on the sabbath? Where is it written that no one can heal on the sabbath? The answer is nowhere! When Jesus healed the woman with issues on the sabbath in Luke 13 he makes this very point. Let’s go to Luke 13 and verse 13 reads.

Luke 13:13] And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
[14] And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

It is the priest’s job to work on the sabbath.

Luke 13:15] The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
[16] And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
[17] And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

I want you to always remember Jesus is our sabbath, which means Rest. Back to Mark 3 and verse 3 reads.

Mark 3:3] And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
[4] And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

Brings this man front and center for all to see, then asked if anyone knew the law. Even the priest and scribes held their peace. No one knew the law on this matter because they were taught lies by these Pharisees.

Mark 3:5] And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

Jesus is angry with righteous indignation. This Hardness of their hearts comes from G4456 from G4457 and means they were spiritually blind. Notice that Jesus simply spoke and he was healed. Only a priest appointed by God could do this. None of the Pharisees could because they were not appointed by God, but by the Romans. Prophesied in Zechariah 7 and verse 11 reads.

Zec.7:11] But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
[12] Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.

Because they had hardened their hearts, they were blinded to the truth.

Zec.7:13] Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:

If you stop your ears to the LORD, he will stop His ears to you. Meaning; when he calls and you do not return to Him, then when you call on Him in time of trouble He will not answer to you. Back to Mark 3 and verse 6 reads.

Mark 3:6] And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

It is important to find time to study these Herodians. G2265 from G2264. It is in paragraph 5 that we see the Romans had given them a so-called “kingship” over the land of Judea (As well as other districts). And gave them the governmental responsibilities of Jerusalem. The appointing of the high priests. As well as the oversight of the temple in Jerusalem. These Pharisees, being Kenites, went to the government to find a way to kill Jesus.

Mark 3:7] But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
[8] And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.

I want you to notice they followed Jesus, not the Pharisees. These other places mentioned here happen to be the other provinces that Rome had given to the Herodians to govern.

Mark 3:9] And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

He had his disciples get the ship ready and keep the motor running.

Mark 3:10] For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.

All it takes is to touch him. Let’s go to Numbers 15 and verse 38 reads.

Num.15:38] Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:
[39] And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
[40] That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

Remember the Pharisees could not find in the law anything about the laws of the sabbath? Sabbath means; Rest. Jesus is the high sabbath, he is our Passover. 1Cor.5:7. Back to Mark 3 and verse 11 reads.

Mark 3:11] And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
[12] And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

These evil spirits knew exactly who Jesus was, they recognized him. Also, the Kenites knew who he was, that’s why the scribes and Pharisees sought to kill him.

Mark 3:13] And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
[14] And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

These chosen twelve disciples would be called Apostles, Sent ones. Given great authority over the church. Their place in heaven is among the four and twenty thrones that surround the throne of God. Matthew 19:28, Luke 22:30. And in five chapters of Revelation; 4,5,11,14,19.

Mark 3:15] And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

We have to preach, heal the sick, cast out devils. Notice there are the sick and those who have a devil. Just because one is sick do not confuse him with one who has a devil. Not only for these disciples, but for God’s Elect in the end times, that’s you and me. Let’s go to Luke 10 and verse 17 reads.

Luke 10:17] And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
[18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Giving the Elect these powers in the end times by the saying, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. This would be the sixth trump.

Luke 10:19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
[20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

The serpents are the Kenites, the spirits are the evil spirits among us even until today. Both we can see in our streets and even in politics today. Back to Mark 3 where he gives us the names of the twelve, and verse 16 reads.

Mark 3:16] And Simon he surnamed Peter;
[17] And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:

John and James were sons of Zebedee, I’ll bet when they preached, they did thunder.

Mark 3:18] And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
[19] And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.

Just to keep up. Andrew was Peter’s brother. James the son of Alphaeus (Alphaeus was a common name in those days). This James was called James the less, not that he was any less than the first James, the brother of John, who was called James the greater. But some think just smaller in stature. Now, the other Simon was not a Canaanite, but called so because that he lived in the land of the Canaanites.

Mark 3:20] And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
[21] And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

Friends here is family. He had many brothers and sisters, including Mother Mary. They are concerned because he was exhausted.

Mark 3:22] And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

These scribes were sent by the Pharisees no doubt, to trip the Son of God up. It won’t work and Jesus will embarrass them. These are Kenites themselves and say Jesus is a Kenite. Jesus would call them, straight to their faces, who they are. Let’s go to John 8 and verse 44 reads.

John 8:44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Sons of Cain, Kenites. Back to Mark 3 and verse 23 reads.

Mark 3:23] And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

Jesus called them to him, and would only speak in parables to them. Let’s go to Matthew 13 and verse 9 reads.

Mat.13:9] Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Speaking to the Elect.

Mat.13:10] And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
[11] He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

That would explain the following verses in Mark, back to Mark 3 and verse 24 reads.

Mark 3:24] And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

Think of your country today, the devil is at hand.

Mark 3:25] And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

Think of the houses of Israel and Judah today, again the devil is at hand.

Mark 3:26] And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

He is now calling them the serpent’s seed, Kenites, their end is at the seventh trump.

Mark 3:27] No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

This is why they could not heal anyone, or cast out devils. Today, we anoint our homes with olive oil and send anything evil back to the LORD whence it came from. Then, what you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, has come to pass.

Mark 3:28] Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
[29] But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Jesus is speaking of the unpardonable sin here, to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. Let’s go to Luke 12 and verse 10 reads.

Luke 12:10] And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
[11] And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
[12] For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

This is the unpardonable sin; To deny the Holy Spirit from speaking through you when you are delivered up to Satan. This is the destiny of God’s Elect. Let’s go to Mark 13 and verse 11 reads.

Mark 13:11] But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

It will be given to his Elect in the hour of temptation what to say. Back to Mark 3 and verse 30 reads.

Mark 3:30] Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
[31] There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
[32] And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
[33] And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?

Jesus is not dissing his family, on the contrary, he is about to include whomsoever believes.

Mark 3:34] And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
[35] For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

The key words here are; Do the will of God, be a doer of God’s Word. We are so blessed to have such a compassionate Savior in Jesus Christ. I pray we never let him down. Let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
