In his name Melchizedek we have two words. I first noticed his Hebrew name has Melchi, which is Greek. This led me to these studies, Melchi G3197 Greek for King. From Melek H4428 Hebrew for King. From H4427 Malak also means King. Zedek H6664 Tsedeq in the Hebrew and means; of Davidic king, Messiah, in name of Messianic king. That would be Jesus Christ. Yah’s savior, the anointed one of Israel. What we end up with is “King of kings and Lord of lords.” Let’s begin in Genesis 14 and verse 14 reads.

Gen.14:14] And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.

Abraham would go against several kings with just 318 armed servants. Think about God’s Elect in the end times.

Gen.14:15] And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.

All the way back to Syria of today, which was Assyria then.

Gen.14:16] And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
[17] And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale.

Lot lived in Sodom, and from there was he taken captive. Think of the example for us today. 1Cor.10:11.

Gen.14:18] And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

This verse right here tells us that there are two words to his name, King and Priest. But what about this “bread and wine”, the bread is the Word of God, and the wine is the promise of Salvation by his blood on the cross.

Gen.14:19] And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
[20] And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Abraham gave a tithe, a tenth, of all he had. We tithe where we are fed the Word of God.

Gen.14:21] And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
[22] And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
[23] That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

Sodom was a perverse and wicked nation that the LORD would destroy soon. Notice that Abraham never took anything from this wicked king. Now we go to Psalms 110:4-5, and it reads.

Psa.110:4] The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

The Father calling the Son priest after the order of Melchizedek, remember Melchi means King. And Zedek means Lord, or Priest.

Psa.110:5] The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

We know that Jesus sits at His right hand after the crucifixion. Jesus talked with the Kenites (the serpents seed) in John 8, after talking for some time he identified them as children of Cain the first murderer, but for time sake let’s read verse 52-59.

John 8:52] Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

They can’t understand life after death.

John 8:53] Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
[54] Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
[55] Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
[56] Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

We just read in Genesis 14.

John 8;57] Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
[58] Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Jesus said “Truly, truly”. Then before Abraham was, I am. Giving his Holy Name.

John 8:59] Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Proving themselves to be murderers just like their father Cain who was of the devil. Now let’s go to Hebrews, we will begin in chapter 5 and it reads.

Heb.5:9] And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
[10] Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

We continue in chapter 7 and verse 1 reads.

Heb.7:1] For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
[2] To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

King of kings, righteousness is Zedek, I hope you know where this is going.

Heb.7:3] Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

No father or mother because he was Immanuel, God with us. At the time when Abraham met Melchisedec he was in Spirit, he just was in this dimension. Showing us that heaven is in a different dimension.

Heb.7:4] Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
[5] And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

Remember in Luke chapter 1? Mary’s cousin Elisabeth was married to a Levitical priest, only a daughter of Aaron could marry a Levitical priest. Meaning Mary’s mother and Elisabeths mother were sisters and Mary was the daughter of Aaron, through which the priest line would come through Levi. Her father Heli was of the tribe of Judah (Luke 3:23-38). Making Jesus King of the kings and Lord of lords. Of the King line and of the Priest line. Let’s skip down to verse 9 and it reads.

Heb.7:9] And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
[10] For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
[11] If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
[12] For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
[13] For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
[14] For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
[15] And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
[16] Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

Salvation comes out of Judah, but the law from the priest line. And that would be from Aaron, a descendant of Levi. This is why we are still under law, for Jesus is the law. If you do away with law, then you do away with Jesus Christ, who is our Salvation. Jesus only did away with the blood ordinance of the law, from his shed blood on the cross.

Heb.7:17] For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
[18] For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
[19] For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

When Jesus rent that vail that separated all except the high priest from God, he then became the High Priest, and now all can come to the LORD personally without another man between us and the LORD.

Heb.7:20] And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
[21] (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
[22] By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

A lot better than sacrificing on the alter. Talking about the blood ordnances. Hosea 6:6 says “I don’t want your burnt offerings I want your grace (your love)”.

Heb.7:23] And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
[24] But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

Jesus overcame death, and is risen.

Heb.7:25] Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

His blood on the cross was for our sins, and he sits at the right hand of God until all evil has been made his footstool.

Heb.7:26] For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
[27] Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

Notice it said once, once and for all time.

Heb.7:28] For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

What was said is even the priest were sinners, yet they would first offer sacrifice for themselves, and then for the people. But now that Jesus has overcome, we have salvation, not the for the last time though, Jesus overcomes Death that is the Devil. Heb.2:14. Now we see in Revelations he will do it again. Rev.17:14 and it reads.

Rev.17:14] These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

And to finish this lesson we now go to Rev.19:11-16, this is the seventh trump, and it reads.

Rev.19:11] And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

That’s right, he makes war, not peace at the seventh trump.

Rev.19:12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
[13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

This is the Lamb of God, the Word of God.

Rev.19:14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

This “fine linen” are our righteous acts, our works that we do while here in the flesh.

Rev.19:15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Those vials (cup of wrath) will be poured out at this time.

Rev.19:16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Building up from Genesis through Revelations, Jesus Christ, The Lamb of God, The Word of God. Only the Almighty God could have such a grand plan from the beginning to the end. Let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
