Colossians 3 and verse 1 reads.
Col.3:1] If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
The right hand is the Power of God, seek him and pray to him, this is why he rent that vail.
Col.3:2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
God is Spirit, do not seek things of this world. This world will be destroyed with fire.
Col.3:3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
His blood cloaks our sins.
Col.3:4] When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
At his coming we are all changed into our spiritual body. 1Cor.15:51-52 reads.
1Cor.15:51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
At the last trump, that’s the 7th, Satan comes at the 6th. There is no rapture that is a fairytale that false preachers teach. “Rapture Theory Debunked”. Back to Col.3 and verse 5 reads.
Col.3:5] Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
Easier to understand in Romans 6:12-13 and it reads.
Rom.6:12] Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
[13] Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Back to Col.3 and verse 6 reads.
Col.3:6] For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
And Rev.22:14-15 reads.
Rev.22:14] Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
[15] For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Back to Col.3 and verse 7 reads.
Col.3:7] In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
We also walk in this world as sinners but through repentance we have forgiveness.
Col.3:8] But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
[9] Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
[10] And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
We also walk in this world and are sinners. This flesh is absolutely difficult, but there go I. Romans 7:10-12 reads.
Rom.7:10] And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
[11] For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
[12] Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Back to Col.3 and verse 11 reads.
Col.3:11] Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Speaking about those that have come to Jesus Christ, whomsoever will. Not speaking of those that are unbelievers.
Col.3:12] Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Paul is speaking directly to God’s Elect here, that’s you and me today, in these end times. Longsuffering is patience, with humility and love from within to others. And let’s not forget that gospel armor for these end times. Eph.6:11 reads.
Eph.6:11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Back to Col.3 and verse 13 reads.
Col.3:13] Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
What did Jesus say about this? Mark 11:25-26 reads.
Mark 11:25] And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
[26] But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Back to Col.3 and verse 14 reads.
Col.3:14] And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Charity is love and perfectness is maturity.
Col.3:15] And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Body is church, let Jesus be your peace.
Col.3:16] Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
In prophets, psalms, proverbs and law. And I would add Gospels, God’s Word.
Col.3:17] And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
We pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
Col.3:18] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
[19] Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
We go back to Mat.19:5-6 and it reads.
Mat.19:5] And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
[6] Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
It becomes a holy sanctification of the LORD. They become one flesh and a child is born from the two. The Lord puts the soul in the womb at conception.
Col.3:20] Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
[21] Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
Father and sons should always respect one another and not be at odds. Not forgetting we are all children of the LORD.
Col.3:22] Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
For God is Spirit, and we are but flesh.
Col.3:23] And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Everything you do, do for the Lord and he will repay you with life everlasting.
Col.3:24] Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
[25] But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
Let’s go to Romans 2:10-11 and it reads.
Rom.2:10] But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
To whomsoever believes.
Rom.2:11] For there is no respect of persons with God.
There are no favorites with the LORD, he loves us all and hopes we all come to repentance. Let’s go to his throne.
