Today’s study is Light, and who is the Light. We know that Jesus Christ is the Light. But, did you know that the Light was from the beginning? That it was the “plan of God”. I’m going to go through the Word of God today and show you the plan from the beginning to the end. Let’s start, of course, in Genesis chapter 1:3 and it reads.
Gen.1:3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
[5] And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
The first day of the second earth age. If you haven’t studied the first 6 chapters of Genesis with me, then go back and study them, or ask me and I’ll send them to you. But about what we just read, the light he called Day. That he capitalized Day and Night shows us Jesus and Satan. Now let’s go to the New Testament and read John1:1-9.
John1:1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
The life (our souls) was the light inside of us, no light is darkness (evil).
John1:5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
[6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
This is John the Baptist.
[7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
[8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
[9] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Comes into this earth age, comes into the flesh. Everyone has a fresh start, will you be of the light, or of darkness. Remember darkness is evil, as we look around in the world today we see so much evil. We, as Christians, show the world our light. And they will hate you for His namesake. Darkness has it’s warning, we find it in Isaiah. Let’s go to Isaiah 5:20 and it reads.
Isa.5:20] Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
This was a Woe, talking about turning things upside down. The lies that are told today whether they be from our gov. or our media, or in our churches. Or by schools to our children, or by the finance administration. Evil comes and has infested our four pillars. And those four being Education, Political, Economy, and Religion. All of these are without a doubt under siege. But light, Jesus, can open our eyes to see who is of light and who is of darkness. Let’s go back to John and read.
John9:1] And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
[2] And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
[3] Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
[4] I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
[5] As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
[6] When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
[7] And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
Eyes to see, Jesus can open eyes and he can close them. This man was “sent”. After he was cleansed, he could see. After your eyes are opened by the Lord he will send you. Notice that Jesus was sent also. But first we repent of all of our sins, and Jesus will open your eyes. After our eyes are opened we shall serve the Lord. For in these end times many will serve and will be sent. Now let’s go to 1Thes.5:1-7 and read.
1Thes.5:1] But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
[2] For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
[3] For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
[4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
[5] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
[6] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
[7] For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
Watchmen know them that sleep are of the Night. of Satan. Anyone who tells you, “We have time, its not the end of the world” beware of these people and watch. The Lord just said, we don’t sleep, but that we are watchmen. What do watchmen do? We know his word, and when we see the prophesies come to pass, we warn the people. Not to warn them is a great sin. Eze.33 give it a read sometime. But for now, we can go to the first epistle of John and continue learning of this Light. And it reads.
1John1:1] That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
[2] (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
[3] That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
[4] And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
[6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
[7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
So this Light is the Word, the Word is Jesus. With the Light inside of us we shine. It is obvious when a person walks into the room and Christ is in him. The whole room lights up. It is a good thing, and you have witnessed this I’m sure. Also notice His blood cleanses us from our sins upon repentance. Now let’s finish this lesson with Revelations. This is after all is said and done, there is no more evil. There is no more darkness left in the world. This is for eternity, God has come down and he will set up His new Kingdom here on earth. Revelations 21 and verse 22 reads.
Rev.21:22] And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
[23] And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
No need for light from the sun because the Glory of the Lord outshines all other Light. Again, back to the garden, there were two trees in the midst of the garden. One Jesus Christ and the other the Serpent, the antichrist, the devil, the Dragon. Many names but the same entity, that being Satan. Gods plan from the beginning, to see who will love Him and who will follow Satan into hellfire. Let’s go to his throne.
