Today’s study is called Light. We know that Jesus is the Light of the world. We will see that Light was God’s plan from the beginning and to the end. Let’s begin our study in Genesis 1 and verse 3 reads.
Gen.1:3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
This is in the beginning of the second earth age. I’ve done a study called Three Heaven and Earth Ages you can find on the Home page or in Topical Teachings.
Gen.1:4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
[5] And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Jesus is the light that he called Day, and Satan is the darkness he called Night. That he capitalized Day and Night shows us Jesus and Satan. This was the first day of the second earth age. Let’s go to 2Peter 3 and verse 5 reads.
2Pet.3:5] For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
[6] Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
[7] But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
[8] But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
We went there to show that one day with the Lord is a thousand years, and we also learned that we have this second earth age now. To continue our study in Light, let’s go to the New Testament, John 1 and verse 1 reads.
John 1:1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John begins with In the beginning as God’s Word did in Genesis. Here we have Word, G3056 Logos; Jesus Christ. It says here; Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God.
John 1:2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Proving we have a Triune Godhead, The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Trinity if you will. All things were made through him, speaking of this world age. Why? Because this world age (Ion in the Greek) all must come through the flesh for Salvation, Jesus is our Savior.
John 1:4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Do not overlook this verse. In Jesus was life, and the life was the light of men. Meaning, without him is Death.
John 1:5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
And the light (Life) shines in darkness, those of that wicked one, and the wicked (Darkness) comprehended not Life.
John 1:6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
This John speaks of John the Baptist.
John 1:7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
[8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
[9] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John the Baptist came to be the witness of that Light, which is Life, which is Jesus Christ. Verse 9 reveals that all who come into the world are given Life if they believe in the Light, that is Jesus Christ. We have Light and we have Darkness which is all evil in the world today. Darkness has its warning and we find it in Isaiah 5 and verse 20 reads.
Isa.5:20] Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
This was a Woe for the evil in this world today, they turn everything upside down. The lies told to us today whether they be from our Government, Media, schools, financial administration and even our churches have perverted the four pillars. Which are Political, Educational, Economy and Religion. But Jesus can open our eyes to those who are of Light and who are of Darkness. It’s called spiritual discernment. Now, let’s go to John 9 and verse 1 reads.
John 9:1] And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
[2] And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
[3] Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Blind from birth, nobody could argue if he was faking. Not him or his parents sinned, how many can claim that. Notice he was blind for a reason, so that the works of God could be made known through him.
John 9:4] I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
Remember Day is for Christ and Night is of Satan.
John 9:5] As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Light is Life.
John 9:6] When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
[7] And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
He gave the blind man not only his fleshly eyes to see, but his spiritual eyes that he may be Sent, this man was made an Apostle. This is given to us for an example in these end times (1Cor.10:11), If you seek him every day, he will open your spiritual eyes and you will be Sent. Now, let’s go to 1Thessalonians 5 and verse 1 reads.
1Thes.5:1] But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
[2] For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
Speaking of the Day of the Lord, the end times. We have Day for Jesus’s return mentioned as a thief in the Night. Satan comes first at the sixth trump claiming to be Christ, but is the antichrist.
1Thes.5:3] For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Satan comes claiming to be Jesus, with all the peace promised to everyone, be not deceived.
1Thes.5:4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
[5] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
[6] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
We are watchmen, with our spiritual eyes opened because we study the Word of God.
1Thes.5:7] For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
Night is of Satan, the Serpent’s Seed.
1Thes.5:8] But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
[9] For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
We will have that gospel armor on and stand, not flyaway, against Satan at the sixth trump. This is the destiny of the Elect. Now, let’s go to the first epistle of John, 1John 1 and verse 1 reads.
1John 1:1] That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
John seems to always start from the beginning. Showing us here that they witnessed the Savior in the flesh and walked with him. Let’s go back to John 1 and verse 14 reads.
John 1:14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Back to 1John 1 and verse 2 reads.
1John 1:2] (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
[3] That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
[4] And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
[6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
[7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Remember when the blind man was said to have not sinned? It is Jesus who covers all sins from the Father, therefore no sin remains. Blotted out as if it never happened. There will come a day that no evil remains in the world, after the Millennium. Let’s go to Revelation and finish this study of Light from the beginning in Genesis with Revelation 21 and verse 22 reads.
Rev.21:22] And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
Jesus Christ crucified, for Salvation to the world, are the temple of it.
Rev.21:23] And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
No need of the light from the sun, for the Glory of the LORD outshines all other lights. Remember the garden, there were two trees in the midst of the garden. The one, Jesus which was the Day and the other one was Satan which was the darkness or Night. So, we come to the end of this study, the question is what is this Light? The Light is Jesus Christ, the reason for this second earth age. Jesus is the Word, the Life, the Light, and Salvation for the world, our Savior. Let’s go to his throne.
