In today’s study our titles are; Verses 1-6 Jesus teaches forgiveness. Verses 7-19 The servant’s duty. Verses 20-37 When will the kingdom come? Luke 17 and verse 1 reads.

Luke 17:1] Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

First of all, know who is being spoken to, it is the disciples. There will be some among you that deceive others. Let’s go to 1Corinthians 11 and verse 18 reads.

1Cor.11:18] For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
[19] For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

But the Elect shall see them and point them out to the others of the congregation. Watchmen watch, and do your job and rebuke them within the church. Back to Luke 17 and verse 2 reads.

Luke 17:2] It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

Some people believe this is talking about molesting children. I assure you that the penalty is far greater for those people. This is simply speaking about what was just said above, that those within the congregation who are lying to God’s children. It would be better if the millstone was about the neck, then to try and deceive God’s Elect.

Luke 17:3] Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Remember when Jesus said; I did not come to change the law. (Mat.5:17) Let’s look at the law pertaining to this matter. Let’s go to the book of Law, Leviticus 19 and verse 17 reads.

Lev.19:17] Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

Let’s confirm this in the New Testament, 2Thessalonians 3 and verse 14 reads.

2Thes.3:14] And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
[15] Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

Don’t overlook Jesus said IF he repents forgive him. If he does not repent, rebuke him until he is ashamed and repents. Back to Luke 17 and verse 4 reads.

Luke 17:4] And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Here we have seven times in a day, in another place (Matthew 18:21-22) he would say seven times seventy which is 490 times a day. Forgiveness comes with repentance for our brothers and for us with the LORD. If you don’t forgive your brother then the LORD will not forgive your sins, as he also said in Matthew 18:35.

Luke 17:5] And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
[6] And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

This is the parable of the mustard seed and is written for us today. Mountain is nation. A man can move a nation from going in the wrong direction and return to God. We see this battle between good and evil in our own streets today. Let’s go to Mark 9 and verse 23 reads.

Mark 9:23] Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Now let’s go to Mark 11 and verse 23 reads.

Mark 11:23] For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

These mountains are Kenites, Jesus gave us power over all our enemies to us in Luke 10:19. They must obey God’s Elect. Back to Luke 17 and verse 7 reads.

Luke 17:7] But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?

How do you treat your servants, do you treat them as good as Christ treats you?

Luke 17:8] And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
[9] Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.

Trow is G1380 and means; Think. He said, I think not. Jesus is explaining that you don’t treat your servants with disrespect. Or at least you shouldn’t.

Luke 17:10] So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

This is speaking to the servants of God. Are you a disciple who serves the Lord?  Let’s go to 1Corinthians 9 and verse 16 reads.

1Cor.9:16] For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
[17] For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
[18] What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

As servants of God, our rewards are not here on earth but in heaven. Freely it is given, freely I give. Back to Luke 17 and verse 11 reads.

Luke 17:11] And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
[12] And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

It was law that all lepers should stay far away from all people.

Luke 17:13] And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
[14] And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

Jesus healed them from afar off. Notice he sent them to the priests. In these days this would have been a sign to the priests, if they would have received it. Let’s look at the law of the leper. Leviticus 13 and verse 45 reads.

Lev.13:45] And the leper in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent, and his head bare, and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip, and shall cry, Unclean, unclean.
[46] All the days wherein the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled; he is unclean: he shall dwell alone; without the camp shall his habitation be.

Keep them afar off from the people and give the people a sign that is visible that they are lepers. In Numbers 5 we are given the reason and verse 2 reads.

Num.5:2] Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
[3] Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

Because God dwells with us. Back to Luke 17 and verse 15 reads.

Luke 17:15] And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
[16] And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

Samaritan used here to signify he was a gentile. He glorified God and gave thanks to the LORD.

Luke 17:17] And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
[18] There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
[19] And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Jesus questioned where are the other nine, did not they glorify God also? Only this gentile glorified God, this says a lot. Because of Faith he was healed. I wonder if the other lepers ever went to the priests, if not, then was their leprosy healed?

Luke 17:20] And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
[21] Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The Pharisees will not comprehend this saying, because they have not received the Son. And those who don’t receive the Son, the Father is not in them. Within is; Among you. Remember Numbers 5:3. God dwells with us.

Luke 17:22] And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
[23] And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

Jesus is talking about the second advent, the seventh trump. We see this in Luke 21:8, Mat.24:23, but I like Mark 13 and verse 21 reads.

Mark 13:21] And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
[22] For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Now it just said, If it were possible, even the Elect, he did not say that the Elect would be deceived. I know some of God’s Elect, they certainly will not be deceived. We know that when Jesus comes at the seventh trump, all flesh dies and all are changed instantly into our spiritual bodies. Let’s go to 1Corinthians 15 and verse 51 reads.

1Cor.15:51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

And God’s Elect knows this scripture very well, as well as others. Back to Luke 17 and verse 24 reads.

Luke 17:24] For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

The Elect shall know the season. All shall be in spiritual bodies. No one will be flying away or rapturing away. The Son of God is coming here, why would we want to go anywhere.

Luke 17:25] But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

Before we worry about the second advent, let’s remember I need to suffer the first advent. Also, this word generation pertains to the Kenites that want to crucify him, speaking of the Pharisees and fellow Kenites that will cry crucify him!

Luke 17:26] And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
[27] They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

As in the days of Noah taking us back to Genesis 6 with the fallen angels. That was the first influx of the fallen angels. They attacked the woman’s seed line and Noah and his sons were the only ones that did not mix with them. This was the reason for the flood, because the fallen angels perverted the seed of the woman. But they are coming back with Satan at the sixth trump is what Jesus is warning us about here. Let’s go to Revelation 12 and verse 7 reads.

Rev.12:7] And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
[8] And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
[9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Notice he mentions that old serpent, this was Satan in the garden who seduced Eve and brought on the Kenites, offspring of Cain. At the sixth trump Satan brings his angels with him, this would be the third and final influx of those fallen angels. The first in Gen.6 when they came to pervert the seed line that Christ would come through, those would die by the flood. The second would be when they entered into the land of Canaan and Giants would be their offspring as David would slay Goliath, the second influx would die from the sword. This third influx will die instantly in the streets at the seventh trump by a consuming fire. Rev.11:13. Back to Luke 17 and verse 28 reads.

Luke 17:28] Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
[29] But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
[30] Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

We look around today and see this world has become as Sodom and Gomorrah. This prophecy has come to pass already. When the Son of man is revealed means at the fifth trump. It is the time when God opens the eyes of his Elect, it is the time for learning the Word of God.

Luke 17:31] In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
[32] Remember Lot’s wife.

Jesus gives us something here he did not give in Mat.24:17 or in Mark 13:15, and that is verse 32, Remember Lot’s wife. Let’s go to Genesis 19 and verse 26 reads.

Gen.19:26] But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

She could not leave what she loved, don’t love this world because it will be destroyed. Back to Luke 17 and verse 33 reads.

Luke 17:33] Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Be not afraid of those who can kill the body, but of Him that can destroy the body and the soul. This reminds me of Ezekiel 13, those false teachers that teach his children to fly away. Ezekiel 13 and verse 18 reads.

Eze.13:18] And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?

Jesus alone is Savior. These armholes are very specific in the Hebrew. It says in the Hebrew, that you cover every digit, or knuckles, of my outstretched saving arms.

Eze.13:19] And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?

This is the great apostasy in these end times, the whole world is deceived.

Eze.13:20] Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

The rapture doctrine is exposed here, and they do it for money.

Eze.13:21] Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
[22] Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

You cause the wicked to not repent.

Eze.13:23] Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

And they shall be rewarded according to their works. Back to Luke 17 and verse 34 reads.

Luke 17:34] I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

Here is where many false teachers teach that we are going to fly away. This simply means there will be false teachers that deceive the whole world. The first one taken is taken by the antichrist.

Luke 17:35] Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Twice for emphasis.

Luke 17:36] Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Three times for great emphasis. Do not be the first one taken, because they are taken by the antichrist. The antichrist comes at the sixth trump. The True Christ comes at the seventh trump. It’s called math, six comes before seven.

Luke 17:37] And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

Eagles should have been translated vultures. The body, flesh, dies instantly at the seventh trump when all are changed into spiritual bodies. Remember 1Corinthians 15:52, all will be changed at the last trump. Great study today, let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
