In today’s study our titles are; Verses 1-12 Whom to fear? Verses 13-21 The parable of the rich man. Verses 22-30 Care and anxiety. Verses 31-40 Seek ye first the kingdom of God. Verses 41-48 The unfaithful servant. Verses 49-59 Peace or division. Luke 12 and verse 1 reads.
Luke 12:1] In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
As they were being thronged, Jesus tells his disciples; beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, he is talking about the false teachings and the traditions of men that were being taught throughout the synagogues. These are the twelve baskets that were taken up when Jesus fed the five thousand.
Luke 12:2] For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
We learned in Luke 8:17-18 this is speaking of the Truth being made known. Be the servant who makes known the Word of God. Be that Light that shines in the Darkness, showing the world that the LORD dwells in you and you in Him. The whole Word of God is made known to his Elect, but to those of the world, their eyes are closed. It is the Lord that can open eyes or shut them.
Luke 12:3] Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
There will be no hiding the Truth in these end times. Closets are said for inner rooms meaning they are trying to keep secret the Word of God.
Luke 12:4] And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
This is written for the Elect today. Are you an Elect? Has God opened your eyes to his Word and given you the unction to know good from evil? Let’s go to Jeremiah 1 and verse 6 reads.
Jer.1:6] Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
[7] But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
[8] Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
[9] Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
Knowing that the LORD himself has chosen you out of this world for a purpose in this world, what could possibly make you afraid of anyone? Back to Luke 12 and verse 5 reads.
Luke 12:5] But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Let’s check out this word Fear. G5399 phobeō pronounced fob-eh’-o. We see our word Phobic comes from this word. Yet, as most Greek words, this has two meanings and they are; To frighten that is (passively) to be alarmed; by analogy to be in awe of that is revere. To fear, be afraid. And to reverence, venerate, to treat with deference or reverential obedience. The word Fear in verse 4 translated Afraid means just that, to fear. But in verse 5 it means; Revere, reverence. We are to reverence God alone. Then he gives the reason, He has power to cast into hell. Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Luke 12:6] Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
[7] But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Let’s go to Revelation 4 and verse 11 reads.
Rev.4:11] Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
God created all things, including you, for his pleasure. Never forget this, God loves you, and created you for Him. Let’s go to Luke 21 and verse 17 reads.
Luke 21:17] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
[18] But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
Back to Luke 12 and verse 8 reads.
Luke 12:8] Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
[9] But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
Let these words of Jesus sink in good. There will be no one between you and the Father on judgement day, it is an individual judgement. To be professed before God and all in heaven, good or evil.
Luke 12:10] And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
This is the unpardonable sin, to deny the Holy Spirit from speaking through you when you are delivered up to Satan during the sixth trump. Only one of God’s Elect can commit this sin.
Luke 12:11] And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
[12] For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
We have studied this in Matthew 24 and Mark 13 and we will get into it again in Luke 21. But, let no man tell you the unpardonable sin is something else, such as divorce. I have heard it before, that only divorce is the unpardonable sin. And they always blame the woman. Any sin committed by a couple belongs to that couple, and on repentance all sins are forgivable. Jer.3:8 lets us know that God is a divorcee, so be very careful who you listen to. Verse 12 lets us know that only refusing the Holy Spirit when you are delivered up is the unpardonable sin. It said in that hour, this should help you remember the hour of temptation. Let’s go to Revelation 3 and verse 6 reads.
Rev.3:6] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Written for God’s Elect in these end times.
Rev.3:7] And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
[8] I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
[9] Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
At the seventh trump all will bow and worship the LORD, they happen to be behind you, at your feet.
Rev.3:10] Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Again, for God’s Elect to hear.
Rev.3:11] Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
[12] Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Now let’s go to Mark 13 and verse 9 reads.
Mark 13:9] But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
Delivered up to the synagogue of Satan, because it is the sixth trump and this is your destiny.
Mark 13:10] And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
[11] But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
This is Luke 12:12 from above. It is the Holy Spirit that speaks through you.
Mark 13:12] Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
Death is Satan, Heb.2:14. They are deceived and think Satan is Jesus, they do this out of love.
Mark 13:13] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
This is the destiny of God’s Elect. Read his Word and do his Word. Back to Luke 12 and verse 13 reads.
Luke 12:13] And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
[14] And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
Jesus has come in the first advent for Salvation and not for judgement.
Luke 12:15] And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Let’s go to 1Timothy 6 and verse 9 reads.
1Tim.6:9] But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
[10] For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Now Jesus gives them another parable, Luke 12 and verse 16 reads.
Luke 12:16] And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
[17] And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
[18] And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
Let’s go to Habakkuk 2 and verse 9 reads.
Hab.2:9] Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
[10] Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.
Now let’s go to James 4 and verse 13 reads.
James 4:13] Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
[14] Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
[15] For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
[16] But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
[17] Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
What we call filthy lucre, or ill-gotten gains. Back to Luke 12 and verse 19 reads.
Luke 12:19] And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
[20] But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
Let’s go to Psalms 39 and verse 5 reads.
Psa.39:5] Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
Selah, stop the music and meditate on what was just said, now comes the answer.
Psa.39:6] Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.
And in Psalms 52 and verse 7 reads.
Psa.52:7] Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
And in Jeremiah 17 and verse 11 reads.
Jer.17:11] As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.
Back to Luke 12 and verse 21 reads.
Luke 12:21] So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
We learned in Revelation 2 when speaking to the church of Smyrna, and verse 9 reads.
Rev.2:9] I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Rich in the blessings of the LORD’s Word. Let’s go to James 2 and verse 5 reads.
James 2:5] Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
[6] But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
Back to Luke 12 and verse 22 reads.
Luke 12:22] And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
[23] The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
[24] Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
We know God loves his children, all of his children. This is why we were given the opportunity to come through this earth age for repentance, and Salvation. We see this love from God to his ravens in the powerful chapter of Job 38 and verse 41 reads.
Job 38:41] Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
And in Psalms 147 and verse 9 reads.
Psa.147:9] He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
If God loves the ravens and feeds them, how much more does he love you. He will never leave you or forsake you, unless you forsake him. Back to Luke 12 and verse 25 reads.
Luke 12:25] And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
[26] If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
If you can’t do this for the least, how will you stand against Satan?
Luke 12:27] Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
[28] If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
[29] And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
[30] For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
God knows what his Elect need in these end times. Let’s go to Romans 8 and verse 25 reads.
Rom.8:25] But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
[26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
[27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
[29] For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
[30] Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
[31] What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
That was written for God’s Elect, Jesus continues in Luke 12 and verse 31 reads.
Luke 12:31] But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
[32] Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
All were created for his pleasure. Revelation 4:11. Jesus tells us how to get rid of filthy lucre or ill-gotten gains, talking about sins of covetousness.
Luke 12:33] Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
[34] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Let’s go to 1Timothy 6 and verse 17 reads.
1Tim.6:17] Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
[18] That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
[19] Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
Our riches are the Word of God and our love for him are proven through our good works. Don’t overlook; Against the time to come. 1Corinthians 10 and verse 11 reads.
1Cor.10:11] Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Back to Luke 12 and verse 35 reads.
Luke 12:35] Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
Think not this pertains to God’s Elect in these end times? Let’s go to 1Peter 1 and verse 13 reads.
1Pet.1:13] Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
That would be at the second advent, the seventh trump or Lord’s Day. Back to Luke 12 and verse 36 reads.
Luke 12:36] And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
You can find this written in Matthew 25:1-13, the parable of the ten virgins. Five were wise and had oil in their lamps, five were not and had no oil, that is Truth. The foolish heard the Lord say; I never knew you.
Luke 12:37] Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
Let me ask you this one thing. If you are a watchman, what are you watching for? You are to know the Word of God, the prophets and the season. You are to warn them in the end times that Satan comes before the True Christ. Let’s go to Ezekiel, where we are given this warning. Ezekiel 33 and verse 1 reads.
Eze.33:1] Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
[2] Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
[3] If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
[4] Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
[5] He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
[6] But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
[7] So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
This is why here at The Christ Ministries it is our duty to Debunk the rapture theory. Back to Luke 12 and verse 38 reads.
Luke 12:38] And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
The second and the third watch is 9pm-3am. The key is not sleeping on watch.
Luke 12:39] And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
[40] Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
He comes when you think not because Satan comes first and the whole world is deceived thinking Christ has come already. This is why the rapture doctrine is so evil. It causes the great apostacy, the falling away. I hope my students by now can see they are God’s Elect and the watchmen of these end times. This chapter 12 of Luke is the same as in Matthew 24 and Mark 13, the other half of this chapter is completed in Luke 21, we’ll get there soon. Let’s go to 1Thessolonians 5 and verse 4 reads.
1Thes.5:4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
[5] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
[6] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
[7] For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
[8] But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
We will put on that gospel armor and stand, not fly away, but stand against Satan for this is our destiny. Let’s go to 2Peter 3 and verse 12 reads.
2Pet.3:12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
[13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
[14] Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Back to Luke 12 and verse 41 reads.
Luke 12:41] Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?
[42] And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
This lets us know he is speaking to God’s Elect in these end times. He will open the eyes of his Elect, and give them meat in due season. Let’s go to Amos 8 and verse 11 reads.
Amos 8:11] Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
Now let’s go to Revelation 2 and verse 17 reads.
Rev.2:17] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Ears to hear and eyes to see, the Lord will give the meat in due season to his Elect that seek him and search his Word. Back to Luke 12 and verse 43 reads.
Luke 12:43] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
This is why we are to keep working in the fields, and not be the first one taken. The first one taken is taken by the antichrist and is deceived. Matthew 24:40.
Luke 12:44] Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
Jesus is reverencing the millennium here. Want to know your inheritance in the millennium? Let’s go to Ezekiel 44 and verse 28 reads.
Eze.44:28] And it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I am their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Israel: I am their possession.
For the Elect, God is their inheritance. How great is that promise? Back to Luke 12 and verse 45 reads.
Luke 12:45] But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
Peter spoke about this in 2Peter 3 and verse 2 reads.
2Pet.3:2] That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
As above in Luke 12:45.
2Pet.3:3] Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
[4] And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
Peter confirms Jesus was speaking of the last days in verse 3. Back to Luke 12 and verse 46 reads.
Luke 12:46] The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
[47] And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
Called a servant because he knew the Word of God, yet did not believe the Word of God, nor would acknowledge the time of the end. Given eyes to see, they saw not. Let’s go to John 9 and verse 41 reads.
John 9:41] Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
Back to Luke 12 and verse 48 reads.
Luke 12:48] But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Think of the stripes as embarrassment. Also, think of that servant that was given five talents and returned to the Father ten talents. For if much is given, much will be required. Be that good and faithful servant. This is written in law, and is for both Israel and the gentiles living in their land. Numbers 15 and verse 29 reads.
Num.15:29] Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
[30] But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Back to Luke 12 and verse 49 reads.
Luke 12:49] I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I if it be already kindled?
Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire. Let’s go back to 2Peter 3 and verse 6 reads.
2Pet.3:6] Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
That was the first earth age being destroyed at the overthrow of Satan, G2598 Kataballo from G2602, with water.
2Pet.3:7] But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
This will be at the end of the millennium, the day of the White Throne Judgement. Back to Luke 12 and verse 12 reads.
Luke 12:50] But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
Jesus is the Lamb of God, prophesied that he would be crucified. Psalms 22, this is the baptism that he is talking about. What is written will happen exactly as it is written.
Luke 12:51] Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
Remember there is Darkness and there is Light. Between the woman’s seed and the serpent’s seed. Let’s go to Micah 7 and verse 5 reads.
Mic.7:5] Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
[6] For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
We have been talking about the end times in this chapter. In the end times Satan comes saying he is Christ, but does lie and deceives the whole world. Many of our families will think he is Jesus, and will say please help their unbelief. Satan will say, Bring them to me. This is when we are delivered up to him and the Holy Spirit will speak through us in that cloven tongue that the whole world will understand in the language in which they were born. Acts 2, Joel 2, Matthew 24, Mark 13. Back to Luke 12 and verse 52 reads.
Luke 12:52] For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
[53] The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Prophecy fulfilled from Micah. For the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy. Rev.19:11.
Luke 12:54] And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
[55] And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
[56] Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?
Speaking to those that say; The Lord not cometh.
Luke 12:57] Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?
Believing what is not in God’s Word makes it your fault.
Luke 12:58] When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.
[59] I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
There will come a time when God’s Elect will need to keep silent and not speak. Know the time, wait to be delivered up, then the Holy Spirit will speak through you. Let’s go to Ecclesiastes 3 and verse 7 reads.
Ecc.3:7] A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
An awesome study for God’s Elect today. Let’s go to his throne.
