Keeping in mind this is a pastoral letter to Timothy, and that is also good for the family. 1Tim.2 and verse 1 reads.

1Tim.2:1] I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For all men made to the Father in prayer.

1Tim.2:2] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

“If” they are in God and God is in them. We find in Romans 13:1-4 Paul wrote.

Rom.13:1] Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
[2] Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
[3] For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
[4] For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Being very careful here to explain if they are for good and not for evil. An awesome thing to know when you look at our money and read “In God We Trust”. There are evil dictators in the world, Communism, for one. Back to 1Tim.2 and verse 3 reads.

1Tim.2:3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

He sees your works.

1Tim.2:4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

It is written in 2Peter 3:9.

2Pet.3:9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

With great patience, for all to come back to him and repent. With knowledge of his Word. Back to 1Tim.2 and verse 5 reads.

1Tim.2:5] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Isa.7:14 Immanuel means God with us.

1Tim.2:6] Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Check out this word testified, it is G3142 from G3144. Ransom is like a down payment, upon our repentance we receive what was already paid for, our salvation.

1Tim.2:7] Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

Given a threefold ministry in Acts 9:15.

1Tim.2:8] I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Have much faith and praise the LORD.

1Tim.2:9] In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

This word shamefacedness is an interesting and important word for women. It is G127, aidōs in the Greek and means; bashfulness that is (towards men) modesty or (towards God) awe. A sense of shame or honor, modesty, bashfulness, reverence, regard for others, respect.

1Tim.2:10] But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Let your fruits of the Spirit be seen. Phi. 1:11

1Tim.2:11] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
[12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Let’s go to Genesis 3:16.

Gen.3:16] Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Back to 1Tim.2 and verse 13 reads.

1Tim.2:13] For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
[14] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Eve might have been deceived, but Adam partook also and that’s perverted. A greater sin, for it was an abomination to our LORD. let’s go back to Gen.3:17 and it continues.

Gen.3:17] And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
[18] Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
[19] In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Back to 1Tim.2 and verse 15 reads.

1Tim.2:15] Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Do not let this confuse or hurt any feelings of those that do not or cannot have children. We need to look at this spiritually. Let’s go to 2Cor.11 and read verses 2-3.

2Cor.11:2] For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
[3] But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

We are speaking about when the True Christ comes after the antichrist. Jesus would tell us in Mark 13:17.

Mark 13:17] But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Talking about being deceived and worshipping the antichrist. And in Mark 13:21-23 it reads.

Mark 13:21] And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
[22] For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
[23] But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

So, we see here that we have been talking about spiritually with child. Suck in those days implies not to be nursing on the lies and spiritually in bed with Satan when he is here claiming to be Christ. Let’s go to his throne.

Father, we thank you for your word and ask that you bless all that love you in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.
